Play XBox through PC

Does anyone know if it's possible to somehow connect my pc to the xbox through my home network and then play my xbox through my pc?

I've seen some posts about it around the web but can't find any proper tutorial on how to get it set up?

Don't know of any way to achieve that as in xbox in one room and pc in another.

I'm set up with both connected to the same monitor but I doubt thats what you're asking?

Nah, basically I use my Xbox in the sitting room, I do gaming on it and I use it for love film, netflix, etc.

I also want to be able to play the xbox on a monitor in a different room when the tv is being used for tv. I was thinking there might be a way of doing it through the home network or maybe some other way I've never heard of where I could send my output wirelessly to a monitor.

Wireless transmitters can be so-so, and prone to interference by outside sources. Also, they only transmit sound and video one way, so you wouldn't be able to control the xbox.

There was a slingshot device back in 2009 that'll allow you to play the Xbox from anywhere, but can't find any recent info about it, so I'm thinking someone stopped it

Xbox1 is rumoured to allow this, but that's a way off yet.

Controller is wireless so in theory it should work.

Why not just plug it into the second monitor?
