    Wow...just wow.

vape dealers offering an affordable alternative, that doesn't involve €25 a pop for gum, nor €200-300 for Champix is = to scum.

    Wow.

So you think it's perfectly fine that I was asked did I want a smoke, wow just fcuking wow!

Threads about smoking are the new threads about travellers.

    Well duh.

You have managed to quit, and you now want to ban devices that allow others to quit.

Quite a bit of self-righteousness there.

Asked. Not forced. I'm sure you have walked past a newsagent since you quit.

Has no smoker offered you a fag recently? Did you punch them?

    This is why I
have the rage, it's was one of the biggest struggles i've ever had
getting off Nicotine and twice in the last few weeks i've been walking
through shopping centres and have been asked if i'd like to try a smoke,
it has me so so annoyed and just in case you think i'm just saying that
I started a rage thread a few days ago....
    http://m.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056975047
These vape dealers are scum trying to get everyone addicted. They need
to be regulated and shut down. eCigs have there place but yet again the
Irish have taken it to the Max.

Actually, they're people in sh!t jobs, on sh!t wages, in sh!t working conditions, just trying to get by, same as everyone else. Do you think I ask people to try an e cig because I want to? I do it because it pays my damn rent.

Your some kid at twisting words, You've completely missed every point and you actually think it's a good thing that ex-smokers and non smokers are being asked to try some nicotine while out shopping.

I'm going to try and an experiment, black is better than white?

The eu are a joke, and i totally disagree why would we ban something that could potentially help People to stop Smoking and even thought they arent technically banning it who will really bother going through any effort to avail of one when ist easier to walk into a shop and pick up a pack of John Player. Also the new generic pacaking idea is a joke, and why are thry trying to ban Menthol tobacco i havent seen Menthol tobacco since i was in spain but in all Fairness i probarbly would be addicted if Menthol was readily available in ireland, does anyone know where i can Menthol tobacco on that note

Did you go cold turkey or did you use anything to help you quit? Your anger isnt normal. I would assume anybody who quit cigarettes would welcome any product that enabled smokers to quit.

You dont appear rational about the topic at all.

How about having some will power and saying no, then going about your day? I'm always being offered illicit drugs by friends, doesn't mean I'm stupid enough to say yes, ffs.

Tried to quit for years, champix and the encouragement of other boardie's help me quit. I'm not rational because i've been asked to try nicotine while out shopping by Vape sales people. I also meet teenagers every day and there now vape addicts. Vapeing is the new smoking, it's highly addictive and un-regulated. They should be in pharmacy's up beside the nicorette not in every shop you walk into.

the new, healthier smoking. Im ok with this. It will reduce the amount of people with cancer. And youre opposed to this. Ok.

    Ex-smokers are so annoying

You sell the fecking things, it's not ok to push nicotine on people who haven't asked or enquired. People who do that are scum I hope you don't employ those sales tactics.

If you were an alcoholic and you went into a restaurant and the waiter asked would you like some wine, and you flipped out in rage, would you consider that normal?

    Couple of questions.

    1. What restrictions will pharmacist place on them?
    2. Teenagers. Already addressed this - place an age limit on them.

Finally, I had a friend spending literally hundreds a week on nicotine gum. Is that what you propose?

Are you off Champix? I remember the rage caused by it, please try and calm down, and avoid attacking people because of it. If you are off the cigs, try and reduce the Champix dose.

What's with trying to Justify getting people addicted to a highly addictive drug, I just don't get the mentality.

Do you have a problem with heroin addicts being offered methadone?

Vaping offers an alternative, not the ONLY alternative.

What about people who push coffee samples in public.

Enjoy yourself at the pub then, be careful though, alcohol is addictive, and can seriously damage your health.

Drunkmonkey, Go back on the fags, it might help with your anger issues.
Cant believe you have a problem with something that saves lives. This isnt the first time you have come on boards ranting about ecigs. Seriously, were you abused by an ecig as a child?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,167 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

Those people are annoying and I find them difficult to listen to, I quit coffee 2 years ago now.

No need for that type of attack.

Champix does cause rage, but it is a bloody brilliant drug if you can afford it.
    Vaping offers an affordable alternative.
