Leave the predictions out. Just study! If he's right you'll be glad, if he's wrong he's a pr**k!

For Music...if you're given the phrase and there is an accidental that means it is a minor key how do you work out that key?

When you have a major key, to find the relative minor you go down 3 semi-tones eg. C major down 3 st's = A minor. :)

Thanks, so if it was B-flat major that would be gminor?

Is the relative minor key signature the same as the relative major key signature?

That's it exactly! Yep. In the harmony question if it's a minor it will actually show you in the chord table, as far as I know?

I'll do a really quick breakdown.

    Minor Harmony
    Chord 1, 2, 4, 7 are minor
    Chord 3, 5, 6 are major
But you can't use chord 2!! You can only use 2b. 3 and 7 are diminished as it is with major.

For Major Melody, at the top you will be TOLD to modulate, therefore you know immediately it's major.

Minor Melody (I'm still fuzzy I have to study them again.)

    A - Given
A1 (this line is major) - Bars 5 and 6 you put up a 3rd (from what they are in 1 and 2). 7 and 8 are also major. 8 must end on t going to doh.
    B - Bars 9 and 10 are MAJOR. Bars 11 and 12 are MINOR.
    A2 (this line is minor) - Have a good progression here i - IV - V - i.

You can't use 3 and 7, nope, I said they were diminished. :) I'm pretty sure chord 6 is major in minor harmonies. In major harmonies, chord 6 is minor. Do you have papers? Take a look at the 2012 harmony, the chord table tells you what's minor/major.

My actual artifact is not that good...not bad either though I suppose just pretty standard. I think my write up will make up for the marks though so hopefully things will be alright. How about you?
