I know all about it, pal.

There was a rep that used to call into us and every second word was "pal". His thick Tipperary accent made it sound even more patronising.

To be fair it's a bit better than some of the greetings we have here. Two farmers meet on a country lane

    Farmer 1; 'Well'

    Farmer 2; 'Well'

and they continue on their way.

Don't see a problem. Just a figure of speech. Don't sweat the little things n all that. Stress n heart attacks not nice, I guess.

"I'm not being funny right but......"

    "passed from pillar to post"

    "let's ave it right"

    "innit"

Worked in a call center and those words drove me crazy after a while.

But your the devil, cant you make them all die and go to hell, or do you have to play poker with god for their souls?

Focking love chicken in peaking sauce.

No I dont find it annoying when the English do it but it can be annoying hearing an Irish person say it. My friend always says it and if he wasn't such a nice bloke and four times the size of me I would of hit him straight in the gobber a long time ago.

    n'ah mate

It's just an expression try to tune it out.

My Dublin colleague greets everyone with 'Whats the story' so far nobody has gotten annoyed or wondered what story he might be looking for.

We all have our expressions / verbal ticks I would just try not to focus on it.
