Golf is a good walk spoiled - Mark Twain

He obviously never went to Ikea. Dear god it would bore a statue to tears. Thankfully still got to the park for a few hours. Cracking day altogether.

Wexford will surely win the All Ireland this year, seeing as Coolmore allowed Aidan O'Brien to take up the managers job.....

Does anything bate a few bottles of cold Guinness? Jesus. Two with the dinner and the Louth match from earlier.

Love a Guinness or three when the occasion arises... You should get some O'Hara's Leann Follain if you get a chance though, it is unquestionably the best stout I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. It's 6.0% ABV too... :)

Big fan of that as you know ;)

I do drink Guinness occasionally but the more I drink craft stout the blander it seems. Guinness Foreign Extra, now that's a bloody good stout

Cracking goal from Ciaran Lyng. Wexford really wilted in the last 15 minutes though

Ben Brosnan seems to have gotten over his place kicking blip against Dublin last year with a solid performance.

Hoping for another Leinster final :)

Nothing of O Haras has really blown me away yet, but I havent tried the Leann Follain yet.

We really should have beaten yee today, Colonel. That Louth team was a team going places, I thought. Some very talented players.

I can quite categorically state that sunburnt feet are extremely irritating :( I wouldn't mind, I had Factor 50 cream on all day... The joys of only getting a week of sunshine every year....

I didn't see it tbh, only heard bits on the radio and the few bits they just showed on the Sunday Game. Wexford were 7 points up and really died late on. Strange if their fitness is weak, the short passing game they played under Jason Ryan required constant running.

I didn't drive up as I didn't think I'd get in, the sports lads on The Last Word were making it sound like it'd be a full house as Drogheda only holds 3,500. Even on The Sunday Game they said a full house "squeezed in". There was plenty of bloody room. Sick now as it sounded like a cracking game

Everywhere sells this, if there is a god and (s)he drinks I'm quite confident this is their drink of choice

Should've keep the Leann Follain for tonight, love finishing the weekend with a nice bottle of ale/stout

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 2,475 ✭✭✭carpothepunk

Aye, and especially with the Sunday Game back on haha. Roast beef sambo after the dinner earlier, and I have two more bottles to keep me ticking over. Back to the grind tomorrow.

By the way, what's this "it's a 2 point game" sh!te that's crept into parlance the last few years. What's wrong with "there's 2 points between them" or "Louth are leading by two"

More infestation of Americanisms (note I've nothing against American people nor American people using Americanisms! It's when non-Americans use them it p!sses me off)

I see steps to freedom is being tried over fences today! In all memory the most overhyped horse I've ever encountered..tribes and banners should take care of steps to freedom.
    Handicapper over jumps at best.
Also see cause of cause going over fences this evening. If I knew he'd be out to win I'd be all over him

Im a major fan of the large bottles of Arthur but have yet to sample some of the foreign extra, is there much of a difference? Oh and where can I purchase this O Hara's Leann Follain? Will have to give a few bottles of that a bash the weekend.

Foreign extra is stronger, 7.5% so I'd only drink one!

Leann Follain is widely available, if Tesco still have the 3 for €7 offer O'Hara's range was included. The "normal" stout & Red Ale are around 1.90 a bottle but Leann Follain, Pale Ale & Curim are around the 2.90 mark

Not even sure I want to recall how much of that I drank in college. I once drank 18 cans of it before going out to drink cheap Red Bull & Vodka in The Kitchen night club

The thoughts of the above is actually making me sick
