well, so far Xbox one looks like need a stupid amount of investment.

500eu console ( We all know it will be more expensive in Gamestop )
150eu 2xgames at launch
80eu for controller ( a guess, but I would not be shocked to see it for more )
50eu Xbox live sub

so around 750-800eu at launch... **** that... Its a very decent Gaming PC!

Or just buy the clearly superior ps4. I'm no fanboy as I've owned ps1, xbox, briefly had a ps2 for a while and then sadly chose the 360 over the ps3. Missed out on a high end blu ray player, free online play and better exclusives for what?

Halo 3 and a slightly better controller? Gears of war is mediocre at best. Sony have the better exclusives and the better hardware if you don't care about Kinect.

I won't be buying anything this time around unless there are a few amazing exclusives on the ps4. PC gaming is where it's at.

Xbox live was far superior to PSN, cross game chat ect.
Multi platform games were also slightly better on the 360 the PS3 only seems like the better investment now that Sony have gotten their shizz together.

But yeh Sony killed M$ at e3.

Yep completely agree. Not a chance I'll but a PS4 as PSN is inferior and the only exclusives I enjoyed were Uncharted. Xbox Live is worth every penny and now is getting two games a month. I'll wait for a price drop on the console though. In the meantime I'll just upgrade the graphics card lol.

XBL wasn't worth a cent. PS+ on the other hand is amazing value.

PSN+ definitely offers better value than next gen Xbox live.

Yes it was ! proper multi-player and cross game chat were worth it, Live has always been more stable than PSN , trying to download a patch or demo from PSN is a exercise in frustration .

Its only now that Sony offers free games with PS+ that it looks good.

If were talking next gen the PS+ is far far better.

well its starting to look like the japanese Devs have opened up to the idea of porting to pc again.

The single player final fantasy team have been talking about how the game has been built from the ground up on DX11 and how it is very easy for them to port to multiple platforms

It would be nice to see FF comeback to PC considering the last FF game on PC was FF8

It hasn't hit home that their dominantly monopolistic years are over yet. Times are a-changin' and they need to innovate and/or invigorate. They got the upper hand on Sony with last gen despite the abysmal RROD issues (more exclusives, a lot cheaper, Xbox Live, cheaper controllers etc etc).

I speak not just about the console era; if anything Wii has dominated the current (soon to be last) gen.

And regardless of the fact that online was pay-only, regardless of which service was better, MS made/are making a ****-ton of money from it.

There is no debate that for years (again, I am not absolutely up to date) that the online social experience was vastly better on XBL (as it should be, as you say it was payed for). Everyone had a mic. Cross-game chat, party chat, all that jazz.

And of course, although MS rushed the release to undercut Sony (and they paid for it with a huge number of console failures), Sony were't able to exploit it as they made their own mistakes (costly launch price, limited emulation - didn't one have to buy the more expensive version to be able to play PS2 games?).

Built quality is really nice i love the aluminium front panel. my only issues with the case is the the thumb screw side panels and the fan/rad vent on the top not being covered but im a picky bastard

basically its corsair build quality (good)

using it for the last few months. no complaints.

im actually really liking win8. with UI tweaks its a pleasure and win7 actually feels a little dated when i use my server. note I am using classic8 start and never touch metro anymore.
