Does the beard not stink of ciggy smoke and get bits of stuff stuck in it? I hate beards, sorry. I know they can look good on some men, but the foot is firmly down on them in our house. Stubble isn't woman friendly. There can't be many women who appreciate beard rash:D

I love how beards look on men but not a big fan of kissing guys with beards. So contradictory! They should just use beards to attract me and then quickly shave so I can kiss more comfortably :pac:

Kissing is one thing but a guy with a beard going down on me  nooo thank you.

My GF has told me on a few occasions that she wouldn't have gone out with me if i was clean shaven. She has never in 7 years seen me clean shaven except in pics (and even then they are sparse) and has said (jokingly i think) that if i ever shaved it off she wouldn't find me as hot.

I'm one of those missing-link-esque people who had a full beard at the start of secondary school...

Cant remember what my chin looks like to be honest... my wife has never seen me clean shaven obviously enough...

I asked her if she wanted me to be clean shaven for our wedding and she told me under no circumstances was I allowed to be, as she wouldn't recognise me and prefers that I have a 'trimmed' beard...

That being said I do often get lazy and it goes a bit mental... but a quick trim all over and the world is a better place once more...

    Beards FTW...

you know when you hear a girl say to a lad "oh you dont look 25!"

thats because he resembles a pre pubescent boy with no beard - beard = man, man = manly

Definitely makes you more attractive. IME 95% of men look better with beards or some sort of facial hair (not that designer stubble...proper manly hair!)

Or Dunnes. They seem to have an ingrained hatred of beards. They make their staff shave there and then if they're even a little stubbly. A friend of mine who has a Robin Williams level of hairyness and wants to grow a beard can't because he work's in Dunnes. He is even in the waehouse nowhere near the public. They should be burned to the ground!

I think all major surveys suggest that the vast majority of women find the clean shaven man significantly more attractive. But beard growing is probably aimed more at other men than women. It's a way to establish male identity for those who require it and requires a lot less effort than developing a manly physique.

So thats why I didnt get the job...

Shaving is for when you cant handle the weight of being a man. I have long hair so look like an extra from passion of the christ or game of thrones

Recently grew out my beard for the first time, completely changed my look so I've kept it, even against the will of my girlfriend.

Wow, your name is perfect for this thread :))))

Merkin is a pubic wig. Merkins were originally worn by prostitutes after shaving their genitalia, and are now used as decorative items, erotic devices, or in films, by both men and women.

Yes I do know the etymology of the word oddly enough - it wasn't entirely random. Although I can assure you that if I indulge in a jaffa cake or a chocolate bonbon I tend to hoover up the entire thing, crumbs and all. If I did happen to wear a merkin it would be bereft of any food remnants, thanks. Just to clarify!

When you're plotting something dastardly or otherwise acting the scoundrel, twirling the air in front of your clean-shaven lip makes you look like you're **** off an invisible mouse that's sitting on your face. The first step of any nefarious plan is grow a tache and/or beard.

Having a beard to stroke means you won't get bored and end up getting caught playing pocket billiards.

If you have a beard, you're blatently a mid-twenties, underachieving male.
