    Hi there,

Just bought an old JF drum mower and was wondering if there are any places which would sell the drive belts, as the dealer is looking at 230€ for the main belt.
Are there any specialist places which sell belts for various machines like combines etc. that I might try for cheaper price before buying from dealer.

    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Thanks for reading.

What size belt? Try Lawlors in Borrisokane 067 27347

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Good place to start. I went into the office in Limerick with the size of a belt for an Abbey hay turner and they were able to tell me what the belt was for by the size if of it. The deal with a lot of Ag. Gear. so it's worth a call.

Clarke Electrical Rewinds. Drumconrath Co Meath. Good selection of belts pulleys, gears, cogs and chain.
    And electrical rewinds too.

    Good service.

    Thanks for all the replies,

I will give a few of these a call and see how I get on. It is a fair lump of a belt probably 4meters long and 1.5" thick so it will probably be expensive and hard to find, but wort a shot before paying out to a dealer.

    Thanks again.

we got 4 belts and 2 main bearings there for about €300, the dealer wanted that for the belts alone,

my mechanic said they only sell top spec bearings as well

They have the lower end of the market also, but the don't like selling them as they know the customers won't come back when the give out.

ERS in Wateford and Limerick. I haven't bought a regular sized belt from a main dealer for years.
