just baled 12 acres (our big field) :D and got 76 bales, mowed yesterday, raked and baled today. Was a lightish crop but the field is very clean looking, haven't seen it so clean in years. It was baled, sorry two thirds of it was baled last year on the 16th june and had to leave the other third until 15th july before we were able to get the mower in again and even then it was still baled behind the mower. theres rakes and foragers working all round us here at the mo at least three different outfits on the go and plent of grass lying for them

I was one of the few that had my own car going to school and a bit of cheek where the teacher's were concerned, I often headed off to Ennis mart of a Tuesday when i wasnt in the form for school :p Never took to the drink at all so it must be the women :D

Myself and a friend had cars and also had that problem, couple of times ended up in kilmallock mart, and we don't live too near limerick to say the least, at least there wouldn't be any neighbours there to tell the parents

There was a serious dew last night I chanced putting CAN on a half dozen paddocks this evening. We usually use mainly urea but I bought a few pallets of CAN a month/5 weeks ago as we were already starting to get dry and i wasn't sure how far we'd get with urea in May.

Fantastic! If I knew that it would be down for 48 hours I would have turned it!
Have to say pretty plaease and get a half day off tomorow:mad:

Heavy dew here this morning. Fertiliser will do well in these conditions.

It wiki be a long way short of my quota. Luckily enough I've another silage field that I've let to a friend of mine for the last few years. This year it's let on the proviso that I'll be a few of the bales, enough to make up my quota.

Got grass test results back from dairygold this evening but no explanation as to whether nitrates are high or low
Nitrate level was 753 and sugar was 4 , if anyone could enlighten me it would be much appreciated
