folks, I'm working in Dublin tomorrow, but will be getting away about 3.30pm, and train North isn't until 4.50pm.
Can anyone tell me of a racing friendly bar somewhere between College Green and Connolly station, where I could call in for a pint of stout and watch The Oaks?

    thanks.

There's that one directly across from Connolly on the corner opposite Spar, pretty sure they have racing

Get off at Tara Street station and go to Mulligans on Poolbeg Street (1 min walk away) for the racing and the best guinness Dublin.

I'd be to Graingers a fair bit at lunch time and I've never seen racing on, I'm sure they'd throw it on for you no problem if you asked though so I wouldnt put you off going.

thanks lads, had gone past Graingers this morning, and it's handy to the train station. Could maybe catch the 4.45, and sprint for the 4.50 train? lol
though I think I've been in Mulligans before, and it's a lovely bar. I think I'd go there for the Oaks anyway if they'll definitely have the racing on.
