Ever notice the following on Betfair in a 2 horse race, usually when one is very short:

Looked earlier & Federer was 1.01/1.02 to win his 2nd round French Open match. Opponent was 55/60

Despite the fact that you're better backing his opponent at 55 that laying Federer at 1.02 and you're better off laying his opponent at 60 than backing Federer at 1.01 99.2% of the turnover has been on Federer

Do people not engage brain before pressing the blue/pink button or are there a pile of people with deep pockets who know zero about gambling

Nadal & Djokovic both 1.01 tomorrow. Opponents around the 60/65 mark, exactly the same happening as outlined above

ALWAYS the case when there's an overwhelming jolly. Very bloody strange

Jebus, that sounds savage, several acts there I wouldn't mind seeing at all... Should be epic stuff...

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to Queens of the Stone Age. We have to miss Rihanna though because one of the guys has to get home for work on the Monday.

Therefore, we have to fly back to Dublin via Paris from Poznan...hilarity will no doubt ensue considering we will have been slumming it for a week.

PS: For anyone hoping for an early night, Unforgiven is on ITV4 at the moment.

Got a "summons" for jury duty this morning. Yuck. Not until July though, so plenty of time before it. Always better to be on a jury than facing one I suppose....

Just tell them you're prejudiced against all religions & ethnic groups other than your own

And to be sure you don't get selected walk in listening to Baggy Trousers, replacing the words of the chorus with "Larry Murphy" while nodding your head furiously

Easy to get out of if you want to.

I just called them and said " as a christian I can't stand in judgement of any man as that is Gods sole right" and they quickly removed me from the list.

It's a Circuit Court case, so chances are it's either a sex crime, or a manslaughter/murder gig. I hope it's a sex crime. I'll wear my "Sarah Tobias asked for it" t-shirt, immediately dismissed from selection. Or if I'm picked, it'll be pics and/or video or get the fck out..... Though if I do get selected, I get full pay from work, no need to fight with the flexi clock for the days it's on as I am automatically registered for my full days work and I get a slap up lunch each day plus a couple of coffee breaks laid on too, so it wouldn't be a total dead loss....

I'd be the same. 3-0 up now, Podolski with a two and Bender with the other. They have some international squad, 6/1 is definitely value compared to Argentina at 5/1

The super argies are a great price imo. On paper at least, they have the best world 11. Even though brazil are at home, they have arguably the worst brazillian team in living memory, cant see them improving a lot in a year. The europeans cant win a world cup when its in south america.with a decent manager, argentina would of won the world cup more than they have. 5/1 i think is a great price,i think they should be favs.

As I said, pics and/or video or get the fck out :) And if said items are produced, the jury will have to retire early to carefully review the evidence...... ;)

Ah damn it, my hopes of sitting as a juror for a sex case are starting to fade. From the courts website : "In criminal matters the Circuit Court has the same jurisdiction as the Central Criminal Court in all indictable offences except murder, rape, aggravated sexual assault, treason, piracy and related offences." So I'm assuming if it's one of those named offences it has to go higher up the food chain :( Not even a bit of piracy or treason to pass the day either FFS...

Don't want to bring this into the "thursday" thread as it's more of a question than a selection.

    Advice needed.

Bobbyscot, 6.10 Sandown, has run in some quare hot races to be running in this race no ?

Gary Moore hasn't had a winner in a while (16th may) which is putting me off but surely the horse is savagely over priced ?

    Am I missing something ? Opinions ?

ps. i was all over mountain range in this race until i had a peek at bobbyscot and now i'm not so sure.

Looking well handicapped alright Fangee but he didn't show a thing in a few runs after a really long break.

Tom O'Ryan got a bad going

TOM O'RYAN, the Racing Post's award-winning journalist, is in intensive care in Hull Royal Infirmary following a freak accident at his home in Brawby, near Malton, on Wednesday.
O'Ryan, 58, broke his pelvis in two places and also suffered two fractured vertebrae and internal bleeding after being struck in the back by a flying fence post while cutting grass in a field.
The incident happened when a tape attached to the post got caught up in the blades of equipment attached to a tractor that still had the engine running when O'Ryan got off in order to deal with the potential hazard.
After raising the alarm by phoning his partner Wendy Barry who was in the house, O'Ryan was airlifted to hospital in Middlesbrough, but when the air ambulance was unable to land owing to weather problems it was re-routed to York Hospital. After doctors decided he required specialist treatment, O'Ryan was transferred to Hull.
Barry said on Thursday: "Tom can move his hands and feet so there is no danger of paralysis, but he is in intensive care. He needs an operation, but I am still waiting to hear if that will be today."
She added: "We have been told that if he had been standing face-on to the post when it hit him, things would have been a great deal more serious."
O'Ryan, who won the Racing Journalist of the Year at the Derby Awards in 2002, and also a presenter on Racing UK, was on Thursday due to attend the Northern Racing College in Doncaster for his final training session before becoming a jockeys' coach.

Wayne Hutchinson is a cracking jockey. Should be King's number one now. Choc has been going downhill for a while now. Unlucky with injuries though.

He's basically left Wigan for the Everton job. He'd be as sick as you if he didn't get it.
