Buffer tube screw

    Hi all, am putting a folding stock om my g&g cm16, but the buffer tube screw is too long, went into B&Q and was told I need a 50mm m5. This correct?

    Dont buy a new screw, just cut the one you have to the desired length.

    The screw is not threaded all the way up unfortunately.

    Ah I see, I cant be sure of the screw size or length but im almost sure its an m5 but dont take my word for it

    Ahhhh you got the bolt with a shank, as long as the shank itself is short enough and the threads catch in the gearbox you should be fine, but at the same time having a nice bit threaded into to the gearbox.

    But like untamedlemon said just get a bolt long enough and cut it to size.

    The shank is about 3/4 of the bolt, will go to a builders providers to get it

    Problem solved, got a box of m5 screws, job done, looks sweet with a folding stock!
