Hope this is the right forum. Having a major problem with damn moth larvae in the carpet. Don't know what to do. Seems to be a pretty bad case too. Had a fairly deep clean of the room today and pulled out a chest of drawers and a desk and the carpet underneath came away in my hands. The carpet was full of those little white things that look like grains of rice. How do I get rid before having to replace the whole carpet? I'm in rented accommodation too so I'm afraid of the landlord having a freak out :(

Anyone know where I might get some insecticide or something in Dublin?

Carpet has to be replaced. Landlord will have to pay for it. It's an infestation and there's no way of getting rid of them.

Wow really that bad? :( Not good... Are there any health concerns to it?

God I don't know about health. But last year I had to throw out a carpet after trying to rescue it. They just kept hatching out. Gross! So I wouldn't bother wasting any time and just chuck it straight away. Carpets are cheap now, you don't have to go for a dear one.

Yeah prob best off just getting rid of the carpet so. I think I'll try get some strong insecticide tomorrow because it seems to be very much focused in one part of the carpet. Maybe if I nuke that bit it might be enough. Thanks for the advice much appreciated
