The thread title should be, "At what time do you get up in the morning?"

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,776 ✭✭✭Jhcx

8.15 every morning. I've been in work once on time this year, and that was more or less by accident.

I get up when I want except on Wednesdays when I get rudely awakened by the dustmen.

Depends when I start work - Shift work INNIT! Generally 1 Hour 15 Minutes before I start work, unless I'm away from base.

    I don't really know.

the kids wake at about half 6 so that's when i get up too. I'm not complaining, they go to bed at 7 so we've got the evening to ourselves after they've gone down.
Could put them to bed later and get an extra hour in the morning but i work at 8 anyway so at least this way i get to hang out with them for a good hour before i leave the house in the morning

    gym mornings 6am

    non gym - half seven.

weekends whenever I wake which is always too early - body is used to the routine of waking up during the week. very annoying when youre still drunk from friday night.

Woke up dead once, never do that

Totally depends on what time I go to bed, and that totally depends on my work schedule. Last night, I was up until 4am working but had to get up at 8am for an appointment. If I don't have any last-minute projects to finish or reason to get up early, I tend to go to bed around 2 and get up around 10.

Can't understand people getting up early to go to the gym, run etc, the devil himself wouldn't get me out of bed any earlier that I absolutely have to for work. Aside from missing out on valuable sleep I find it impossible to do exercise in the morning, zero energy for it and when I say morning I mean the few times I'v tried running at 11am or so. Evening all the way.

It's well for some having time in the evening to do exercise :)

At 6.50am every morning, and I go to sleep at 1am.

I am not a morning person at all although I have improved a bit. I press snooze at least twenty times every morning and always feel like having a little cry at having to get up at such an un-Godly hour (8.15am). I've always been like that though and it's only in recent years I'm not consistently late for work every single morning. I've seen people post in PI about how getting up is a genuine problem for them and being absolutely slated by people saying just go to bed earlier, cop yourself on etc etc but for some people, it takes them at least an hour or two to reboot in the morning :(

I usually do the gym in the evenings on week nights as I work.
I'm usually up early on a Saturday anyway so it's not like I'm setting my alarm to go out for a run.

I find there's nothing better then getting up, getting out for a run in the fresh air to wake you up and clear the head, having it over and done with, which leaves you the full day to do what ever you wish to do :) without thinking about having to get your run or gym in.

Well I don't always have time but I'd rather not do it than have to get up at 6am to do it, I usually only do stuff 3 evening a week anyway and often quite late in the evening as I'm rarely home from work before 7. I will be working even later soon so will replace one of my evenings with doing something at lunch time.

I very very rarely do anything at weekends in the line of exercise, (I'm often hungover too at least one day) sleeping most of the morning is usually the priority and doing other stuff in the afternoon and farm work if I'm up home for the weekend. The only exception is if I go for an early round of golf as it takes up a good few hours so its good to go early.

Mods, could you make the poll results public please? Thanks!

I get up around seven, get outta bed around nine.

I don't tend to worry about it too much as in my opinion worrying is a total waste of my time.

Seriously, what part of "Hide results", leads you to believe that selecting this option will make the results visible?

I bet you're the kind of guy who rings up tech support saying that you can't find the "any" key :p

To answer the question, it varies, but usually around 6:30. Used to be 7 *sob*

Are you just choosing to ignore the "until voted" part? Or.....

That's not an option when you post a poll. It's either show, hide or Show when the poll closes. Read, dammit! :p

About 8am - live relatively close to work and I cycle in, have plenty of time to get a nice breakfast and tea at home.
