But then I don't buy second hand or rent games, so that problems isn't really one that's going to affect me at all...

I thought the new COD facial graphics were nice until I saw this posted on a thread... and it was confirmed by lots of members that they are indeed in game graphics.

But I suppose thats why you pay a premium for high end PC gaming, as its the top end of gaming. XBox one looks the worst anyway there.

I hardly think COD is going to be the poster child for next gen graphics tbh (I'd bet my right bollock the graphics were 'target footage' on a PC)it didn't even seem that impressive, the Dog was cool though. Isn't that PS4 one from Sqeenix's year old tech demo which isn't a game but more a we can do this boast.

I suppose so, im not boasting about PC gaming or anything, just saying thats hopefully what Xbox one can reach over the next few years, as the tech is there. I know early xbox one games wont reach anywhere near theyre max potential, but Crysis 3 looks amazing on PC.

Microsoft honestly could cure cancer and hiv on the same day and their pr gurus would make it a bad thing. The way they are handling the fallout from the reveal is not doing them any favours. I know for a fact that I will not be buying this console

Yeah I honestly think I could spoof my way through they're job like they do. Genuinely not planning on buying Xone or PS4 at the minute. I'm happy with the games but I get bored watching analysis of sport so why would I want to go deeper into it with looking up my fantasy team.
Another HUGELY unattractive feature is that they suspect EVERYBODY has fast reliable unlimited internet access 24/7, a facebook account and wants yet another Social Media account, tablets, a huge living room or buys their handheld just to get their features. Oh and you have to buy them things that you know you play. What are they called again? Guh... Games thats it, knew i'd get it eventually.

PS4 is the easy winner so far. Saying that, I wont be getting it on launch. Wait until it has a few good games first. Just hope they dont stick a new GTA V with it on launch, it'll be very hard to say no to then.

As for the PC vs console graphics debate, get yourself a PC that costs the same as a console and compare the game play instead. I'm guessing the console will destroy a PC of the same value. Comparing a gaming rig that can cost several thousand Euro to a console that costs less than €500 is retarded. If you insist on comparing, use game play on a PC of the same value to be fair.

What do we know about the PS4? Considering MS generally only talked about crap gamers don't want to hear, I'm interested why people are touting PS4 instead. Whilst I agree (I spent most of that press conference thinking "oh f**k off" to the speaker) I can understand why it's annoying for XBots to hear people dismiss it immediately and run to it's competitor without any kind of proper specs.

The price point about PC vs Consoles is extremely valid - it's like comparing a €7,000 car to a €2,000 car.

Was there confirmation of that "used game fee" from XboxOne? Only one site had the news, ie one source so i'm not convinced.

Come back to me in 3 months time about the used game stuff, as previously said MS pr team don't know their arse from their elbow explaining stuff. I bet they say 'there is a fee but its a....whats that over there(runs away)'.
PS4 is viewed to have embraced gamers and indies more. They had that arrogant twat Jonathan Blow on stage a while back saying they are great etc and his game is coming to the PS4 like its a HUGE deal.
Honestly both Sony and MS did a bad job hyping up what is probably 2 great machines. But both are lacking killer IP's when in my head I think show me Watch_Dogs, Witcher 3 or something you aren't doing.

It also has to connect to Xbox live at least once every 24 hours to function. So if your net is down for a few days... Tough, you can wait to play your €500 machine.

I can't remember the last time the internet went down for a few minutes in my area, let alone a few days. I do appreciate people's fears about online-only style features, but I've got to admit, it doesn't worry me half as much as it seems to others. I pretty much play online exclusively anyway, so if my net connection died, I wouldn't want to be playing much. Plus, with Steam and WoW, you've got to be online all the time anyway, so I kind of feel all Xbox are doing is moving into step with PC gaming in that way....

I presume they've taken that on board though. But I can't imagine there's many Xboxes with XBL accounts in sub-Sahara deserts where there's no net connection. I'd love to see figures for how many people have Xboxes but have no internet connection...

Will watch XBox, but after sitting up and watching last year's Sony conference and the PS4 reveal, I think I'll pass on sitting up late this year and just check it out on the Tuesday after work.

What I'm wondering is if every time you log into Live, will it also automatically log you into everything else like Skype and facebook if connected? Which means having to go in and change your status to appear offline unless you want to risk getting constantly interrupted while playing a game.

I dread the "personalised timeline, see what your friends are doing, recommendations" push - what it really is, IS ADVERTISING MASSIVE ADVERTISING BUY THIS CMON BUY THIS. The newest Xbox update was awful for hassling you to buy things, and I really turned off Fable 3 as your mandatory inventory butler asks if you'd help out (aka buy this DLC quest).

It's weird to see this push of multitasking i.e. not pay attention to anything. The move towards aimlessly seeing what else is on.

It's rare that someone can be completely PG and just be so entertaining. Will Smith is the man. Reminds me of the Rock, just brimming with positive energy and wildly charismatic. I don't care how contrived that impromptu rap/routine was, it was brilliant.
