Is anyone here going to go and see Soundgarden in The Point in September? Personally I can't wait for it, myself. Have see Chris Cornell a few times in various guises, but never in Soundgarden.

Apparently Respawns game if far more likely. (They are the guys that used to be Infinity Ward). Looking forward to FIFA just to see what they'll do aside from better graphics.
Hope they leave the controller as is. I don't want a touch pad or that.

My main hope is it's just a more powerful Xbox. I don't want stupid gimmicks or anything. Just give me a more powerful version of what I have

That'd be cool, but you know consoles, they're all about being "social media hubs" and marketed as a Netflix machine! I bet every console will be bundled with kinect 2.0 and they've got a tablet controller

That was the rumour 15-18 months back but doubt it`ll happen now. Kinect 2.0 will be bundled in as nobody will be willing to buy one, the only interesting thing with it is that illumiroom projector thing. Isn`t the likes of Netflix and other crap on everything now its hardy an important App now.

I'm expecting MS & Sony to follow Nintendo's lead since they both brought out motion controllers after the Wiimote. Hopefully not though, but I can see how integrating a tablet device would be pretty cool - especially if it could work as a handheld separately. I suppose Sony could do that already with the PSVita, make it a controller. But if it's not exclusively part of the PS4 then developers will see it as an afterthought, as opposed to the WiiU.

I might not even bother with the next Xbox. My 360 barely gets used as it is and even though the PS4 is a bit more "SHARE EVERYTHING YOU'RE DOING WITH EVERYONE LIKE IT'S FACEBOOK!" for my liking, I can see XBox resorting to some new gimmick which would just annoy me even more.

Just want to use buttons on a joypad to play games, occasionally but not always online. That's it. Neither want nor need anything else.

Meh, I don't like the fact (or myth) of having to upgrade PCs continually to achieve that high power.

That said, I'm already mostly playing my laptop anyway. Playing Diablo 3, Minecraft and FM13 at the same time, having just come off WoW. So won't knock PC gaming.

Its a myth. You can buy a graphics card for about €120 nowadays, such as the radeon HD 7790 which is more powerful than the xbox 360 id say, that will last you for years, since you can change graphics and res of all pc games to work with your card. Also steam prices are much more reasonable, but its always going to come down to personal preference.

Yea def going to Soundgarden , was thinking about going to Cornell last year on his solo tour but wanted to wait to see SG instead so glad they have finally decided to come back

Definitely. I bought my gaming PC 19 months ago and I've absolutely no plans on upgrading. Playing things on Ultra settings is glorious - awaiting Bioshock Infinite to come in the mail. The PC itself cost €700. It is more expensive than a console but hey, it's also a PC lol. Don't hit me though, I still either plug in the Xbox or PS3 controller

It would have been better if I was going out of my way to annoy them, but I just said I prefer the idea of the PS4, and what they are highlighting on the xbox is more or less what I can use my PC for, but without kinect.

Missed pretty much all but the first 5 minutes, so I know it looks like a VCR at least. But looking around online, it seems it didn't go over too well.

I have the Wii U for now and will probably get PS4 in a couple of years to play the new Infamous and other exclusives
