Laptop screen goes black when i plug in the charger

The screen on my ASUS laptop which is only a few months old any time I connect the charger. this happens whether or not I have the battery in. It works fine when I run it off the battery without having the charger plugged in. Any ideas what I can do I don't want to have to send it away to be fixed as I really need it and…

sounds like the LCD Inverter is defective

Unlikely but check power settings to see if blank screen is selected for when plugged in. Change that setting on my sisters laptop as a prank before
