I think the Freeman movement are actually a great bunch of lads.

While im not at all convinced their stuff is factually accurate I hope it works out for them

I also think they are great. Their mentalist behaviour and their incredibly shaky grasp on reality has given me hours of entertainment. It is never going to work out for them because it is all complete and utter horse manure but I hope they still cling on to the belief that it will one day. It makes reading the court cases hilarious.

I want to bang my best friends sister.

She must be bet down if it's an unpopular opinion.

Its not because she's bet down that I want to screw her to the wall.

The stuff I want to do to her would put any friendship at risk

I've been sexually attracted to teenage girls.

Nothing has ever happened but I've had impure though of girls who are probably underage.
I want to bang my best friends sister.

This is the "unpopular opinions" thread, not "confessions of a sexually frustrated thirteen year old" thread.

Working class areas of Dublin are replete with people with no civic pride.......

...... as exhibited by dog crap everywhere, uncared for homes, aggressive driving, public drinking, an overdeveloped sense of entitlement with regards to state support & social welfare, and a very benign attitude to black market economy (ie unwillingness to pay ones way).

Umm... <glances around furtively>... I'm not actually a huge fan of the E-Type Jag. Don't get me wrong, they're a handsome enough looking old thing, but I'm not as completely mad about them as many Jag fans seem to be. I always considered them a bit "George Jetson".

That's not limitied to the working class areas. I'm seen everyhing bar the drinking in all areas. And I don't think drinking outdoors equates to a lack of civic pride in the first place.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I think you need to take a look at Killiney ;)

I live in an area near council houses many filled with long term welfare abusers and the "créme" of Irish society. My observation is both groups of people are terrifying similar in tastes and attitudes!

Andy Warhol wasn't much of an artist. His work wasn't original in any way. He just took already existing pictures and scrawled on them and passed them off as 'art' to gullible fools.

Working class areas also have a majority of upstanding , decent, hardworking people who have to put up with the problems you mentioned because neither the garda, council or justice system will do anything meaningful to combat the minority of scumbags who cause the social problems and make these areas less desirable in the first place.

Bill Hicks was mentioned in the thread recently. From what I've seen of him, he's overrated. At least as a comedian.

An intelligent witty guy and more of a social commentator than comedian in my view, along the same lines of Carlin in later years.

That's it. There's more of that social commentator angle to him but he made no.6 in Channel 4s 100 best comedian list.

Females don't automatically become "the hottest women on the planet" (see FHM Top 100) just because they are famous.

Example, Mila Junis - good looking girl and all, but sexiest woman in the world! You do know there are quite a lot of women in the world? To say she is the sexiest out of billions is a little OTT.

I've seen better looking girls out shopping locally.

"Nice people" are really just mean people who are putting on an act in order to be liked.

No. Some of us are just generally nice people.

So what about mean people? Are you implying no one is nice? I'm feckin' nice, roi?

Perhaps I should rephrase my statement.

"Overly nice people who will never ever say a word against anyone or anything" are putting on an act in order to be liked.

That there is the popular opinion.

I was presenting the unpopular opinion.

    Blame the Guards......easy way out.

I have never met anybody even remotely like what you just described.

    You seem extremely cynical.
