I've always felt that Jim Carrey was incredibly unfunny. I much prefer a comic like George Carlin or Bill Hicks, who actually evoke some form of intelligent response.

Carlin was brilliant. Of the current crowd, I particularly enjoy Dylan Moran.

Yeah, I get what you mean.

Louis C.K., There's another brilliant comedian. Probably my second favorite of all time behind Carlin.

Bill Burr is another one. Stewart Lee too but hes not for everyone, not sure if you would like him

I like Burr, I'm more of a fan of "people are morons" style comedy than happy go lucky Michael McIntyre/Peter Kay style stuff. Louis CK is probably the best in the world right now, Steward Lee is an acquired taste but very funny. his show on comedy central isnt great though, hipster comedians playing to 12 people who think they're smarter than everyone else.

I always thought Dane Cook was laughably unfunny if I'm being honest.

I've never really warmed to Bill Burr, for some reason. Same with Chris Rock. I find that really loud, obnoxious style of comedy a bit annoying. I do really like Louis CK though. I wish Dave Chappelle wasn't so sporadic with his comedy. He's a great stand-up, in my opinion.

Maybe it's just my sense of humour though, but I honestly think Dylan Moran is still better than any current American stand-up that I've seen. His sense of irony is just brilliant, and his word play and general verbal dexterity is second to none. He could talk rings around almost anyone, I think. His bits about America, Australia and Germany in his Like, Totally show is pretty much a lesson in subverting stereotypes.

Louis C.K. is one my favourites, if not my favourite.

That HBO sitcom he did was great... Lucky Louie. The more recent Louie show (on FX?) is great too.

His comedy specials are where he is best though. I really enjoyed his latest one.

Did you ever see his Jizanthapus piece? :D So funny.

His problem was he became mega popular in the states and his shows were painful to listen to with the crowd constantly cheering everything and screaming. his stuff when he was younger is pretty funny, he's definitely one of those victims of his own success comedians.

Sarah Silverman is the best comedian, end of. Also, she is hot as hell.

    Megan Fox is rotten looking.

Looking at Beckham's retirement today, I've just formed the opinion that the "one club man" tag that players such as Giggs have is a bit of a cop out on said players part. It's very easy for him to stay at United, live off his past glory (of which I genuinely believe he's been living off for years. Should have retired after 2011), gather praise here and there and beat his own records. Beckham played all over the world, is the most capped English outfielder, the only English player to win four titles in four different countries and became a global icon and worth over 100m.

Now I know Brand Beckham would have grown regardless if he had stayed at Old Trafford, but it has grown exponentially due to his various club moves. Helped boost soccer stateside too. He still could have commanded one last pay day next season (remember he donated his wages at PSG to charity), but obviously felt he couldn't offer the required standard. Achieved all this too whilst being regarded as "thick" by the media and general football public.

Fair play to the man. Give me his career over Giggs' any day.

On another note; Emma Watson simply isn't as jaw-droppingly beautiful as some like to think, IMO.

Of course she's a beautiful woman, not saying I'm not attracted to her either, but she seems to be lauded as one of the sexiest women on the planet by some. I don't see it.

While "jaw droppingly beautiful" is pushing it a bit, I'd still screw her to the bed.

Mike Birbiglia is the only stand up who makes me laugh like a child. The sincerity of his routines are amazing, and he doesn't have to resort to pulling "Funny" faces or just ranting at an audience who aren't there to laugh so much as they're there to agree with a loud guy who has nothing particularly new or groundbreaking to say. I'd love to see the guy get worldwide fame, he definitely deserves it.

Damn straight I'd fúck her; what straight male wouldn't?

I just think she's a bit overrated is all. Wipe away most of the makeup and you've got an above-average beauty. We've all probably seen better looking girls around.

Can be said for an awful lot of celebrities in fairness!

That can be said about an awful lot of normal girls full stop! The shocking difference I've noticed on some girls from when they're wearing make up and not can be unreal sometimes.

Aye. Well I mean the type of celebrity that gets into FHM top 100 probably isn't really all that much more attractive than the girl down the road.

Mila Kunis, Rihanna, Megan Fox. They look completely manufactured and I'm sure they'd look less than average without all their make-up.

Agree about Rihanna, certainly, but I can't imagine Mila ever looking other than gorgeous

Ah, one of them is a bit unfair though. She had seven shades of shíte knocked out of her beforehand.

The fawning over her baffles me.

    (1) She looks like this and this without make-up.

    (2) She is just not tall enough to be considered super attractive for me.

    (i) she still looks better than the average girl without makeup walking down the street imho

(ii) just as media photoshop public figures to make them look flawless, I wouldn't be surprised if that were photoshopped to make her look a tiny bit pudgy.

I think the Freeman movement are actually a great bunch of lads.

While im not at all convinced their stuff is factually accurate I hope it works out for them

Well I certainly wouldn't give her a second glance (though obviously it's easy for anyone to take a bad photo).
The bottom line is for me, she's just an average looking girl but being a high profile actor means the media would have you believe she is among the most attractive in the world which couldn't be further from the truth.
