Got these today. The Mega CD games finally arrived!

I love Street Fighter 2 talk, principally for the sound it all makes as it whizzes over my head!

I do remember enjoying Super Street Fighter II Turbo X on the 3DO back in the day, was never very good at it mind you.
Still have it buried away somewhere, wasn't there a nifty stick specifically for it on the format?
I preferred the excellent version of Samurai Shodown II on the 3DO tbh, it was a damn sight better than the interminable loading of the Neogeo CD version, although that was, aside from the aforementioned loading, arcade perfect.

Ah so I have it backwards.

SF2 Special Championship Edition was released on the Megadrive.

It'a SF2 Turbo Megadrive build that was scrapped (which has been leaked online to download)

Special Championship Edition is basically the same thing as the Snes Turbo...both games carts carry Hyper Fighting & CE. I wonder why Sega scrapped the Turbo Megadrive build, in favour of a Special Champion Edition...

Playing ST on a 3DO pad is second only to trying to play SCE on the Megadrive with 3-button pad in terms of awkwardness. The start button is actually used in play.

Granted, it's not nearly as soul destroying as the PC-DOS version, which has the folly of looking near arcade-perfect 'til you try start a match and notice that your character floats off the screen with every movement, however slight. That's even before we get into the various control issues.

It's a weird one isnt it?

That Turbo MD scrapped version is very different, it feels like another engine. The animations in it though are really good. Worth checking out. I Think it's the version theyre playing in Father Ted believe it or not :)

PC Engine suffers the same issue unless you have a 6 button pad - it goes one worse though as the console only has one controller port :D

As far as the game goes, it's an amazing version. Feels like it shouldn't be possible on stock PCE hardware.

Ever seen the ZX Spectrum port?

Would the ZX Spectrum version not be worse?
Although that looks not as bad as one might have imagined, I can only speculate at how pitiful the controls were on the keyboard and one button stick.

Yes it is, I think that it was an early version sent out to Gamesmaster I think, or else that was the only logical reason the creator can comprehend how it happened. Capcom had that version near finished and it was sent to many publications but it got a lot of bad feedback over it looking very different to the arcade and snes version that they brought it back to be re-developed.

I've heard that's a really rare Spectrum tape. That Fred83 chap who used to post here had one (remember the guy who kept going on about the pointlessness of collecting as we're all going to die anyway)

It was the speccy 128 version he was talking about.

I think too many of his computers started to die on him and it made him realize one day he would also 'expire' so what's the point. :pac:

Me, I plan on having a mausoleum built with all my treasures. Plenty of booby traps to keep Atavan out :D

I have to say, the proper arcade CE is still a big favourite of mine

Just leave enough Jack Daniels at the entrance that he kills himself with it before he gets to the treasures.

Imagine being the archeologist in the future that unearths a working SNES and a Super Mario World. It would be like finding Alien Soldier for a tenner :P

Wow, we were going to stuff you're body into a candy cab, sell it to Ronnie and see if he checks before he sells it on.
I can only imagine the "post here when you get something new" thread on that day!
"I found a gamers corpse in my new Candy, he's wearing a Terminator tee!"
"Is he Jamma compatible? 15 or 31hz? "

£45. Has map and manual in great condition too. Missing the other few leaflets that came with it though.

Ah I know, but it's probably 20 odd years since I played it so worth a go for the laugh. I'll have the snes turbo sf2 ready to rock after to cleanse my mind, don't be worryin

I'd be needing more cleansing after the Snes version, missing animation, missing sounds, reduced speed...they were amazing back in their day, but SF2 on the consoles never got anywhere near the arcade ports right up until the 3DO

Seems strange to mention the 3DO without the instant support of the format by Steve....
But the 3DO was such a great machine, unlike the utter pants-ness of the CDi.

Thanks! I pre-ordered them all shortly after they were announced. No new models have been announced yet although these have only literally just been released so we'll see!

They are like larger versions of the original gashapon models but also like a scaled down median of the larger Plum models plus the burst parts etc. Glad to see Metal Black got some love from Takara Tomy Arts. I thought Ship 003 might be another Darius Burst ship, plum made a yellow version so I thought it may be that one. Metal Black is technically Darius III anyway so it's all good!

Very cool! I like them a lot! :)

By the way what's with the art? Did you buy the PCB's?
