Maybe it's the temperature of the room they are in? I know I read something about temperatures before...

Also Penneys is dangerous, I can't agree with you more.

Here are swatches of those polishes :p (sorry in advance)

left to right: OPI - charged up cherry, with man with a golden gun over,
then ChinaGlaze, Infa red (holographic), ChinaGlaze OMG A UFO (holographic), then Chinaglaze Flying Dragon (neon), then ChinaGlaze turned up turquoise! :)

The ChinaGlaze Holographics are really cool, I really love the infa red! The grey ones look awesome too, cant wait to try them all! :)

Then I took it all off and painted them all flying dragon, with man with a golden gun over it! I LOVE it! :)<3

I have a couple of Catrice polishes that the lid separating from the brush has happened too. It is so annoying

I was in boots in Omni Park and all the Barry M nail varnishes had gone which I thought was weird. I asked a staff member when they were getting more in and she said that they were all in the back due to a safety recall by Barry M. Seemingly it only happened the night before (Friday) at 8pm.

I googled and only found one post on mumsnet about it.

Anybody hear anything or see them in shops yesterday (Saturday?)

Just googled there and can't find anything about this. Nothing on the Barry M Facebook page or Twitter either. Very odd.

Essence -01 Edward (loving the sky blue, pity when I look out my window it's not like that :( )

    Essence -02 Julia Glitter Topper

Bought loads in Penneys yesterday :D also bought 2 of the magnetic ones and got home only to realise I never picked up the magnets :( at least I'll have another trip in there soon to buy more :D

Any who here's my nails today which I was inspired to do in the hopes for some sunny, clear blue skies with fluffy clouds :( this weather outside reminds me of November!

went in yesterday to change my arm at an appointment but they didn't have anything available. The girl wasn't particularly pleasat and the atmosphere wasn't great ... dont know if it would entice me to come back ...
I've been twice and I wasn't mad about it. The job done was ok, but I felt the atmosphere was cold, despite the loud colours and music. They also don't have Essie, which I love, and have a very limIted stock of OPI.
I much prefer Fifth Avenue: I find it a more comfortable environment to sit in and they have a more extensive colour choice.

Starting a new job tomorrow so I got my nails done yesterday. Hot Coco by Essie

    They're €9.75 for 6ml - expensive but they are pretty! ;)

I won this nail polish set on feelunique.com. I've swatched them and the pink and red colour are very similar on the nail. Cant believe how glossy they are even without a topcoat. Looking forward to seeing how they last. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-aidS6w4pKbA/UYPhCrR77mI/AAAAAAAABsg/SXJJmxXgzLI/s640/IMG_0100.JPG

    essie-avenue-maintain-nail-polish-swatch-spring-2013-madison-ave-hue-500x548.jpg

This is what I am wearing at the moment. It's Essie's "Avenue Maintain". It's my first Essie polish, and I absolutely love it. I'm wearing two coats of it with no top coat or base coat, and it's been a full week with no chips! It's slightly darker in person than in the swatch above.

I tried other polishes before but:

Essence always chipped like a mother flupper mere hours after I applied it, even when I had top and base coats on.

    Catrice only lasted slightly longer.

Rimmel ends up staining my nails something fierce.

Inglot ones a bit streaky for my liking.

Barry M are fantastic, will def be getting more of their polishes.

Was very disappointed with Sally Hansen's ones. For the price I paid, I really would have liked a little bit longer out of it before it chipped.

Have yet to try OPI, but haven't found a colour I want to try yet. My chemist is a bit "meh" on their colours.

Also picked up a LA Colours one on sale last week, so I'm going to switch my Essie one out for that soon.

Love this thread, so many polishes, only a finite amount of money. Only another month til pay day :pac:

Wearing Nails Inc Sprinkles polish in Topping Lane. It's a good formula and goes on easily. Just not sure how much I love the finished look. Hmmm...

Currently wearing Nails Inc Prince Albert Road - a dark navy with subtle glitter. It's more navy in real life than in the photo (taken from colourfulcrack.com)

Put it on Sunday night and had to top up chips last night. And it's already chipped again this morning!

I find Nails Inc a dose for chipping too dudara. It's annoying as they're quite expensive here (thankfully I've never paid full price for one as I'd be quite thick!)

+1. Best nail varnish I've found for not chipping is that Angelica stuff in Penneys, but it smells horrific.

seems long enough lasting alright but a fiddly fecker to put on with the small brush (and I have small nails!) and the pastel shades are a smidge streaky lookin

I bought them in Boots Dundrum on Saturday. They had lots at that stage. They were buy one get one 50% off so I bought green and blue. Very nice! A bit different!
