Gathering Rushes after topping

Hi all, just wondering if anyone on here as a method for gathering rushes following a topping. The fields have been topped with a 7ft major topper so the toppings are spread out, anyone any ideas?

Maybe a baler? use them for bedding

Leave them and spray the regrowth.
