How do i open .ave file?

Hey guys, i was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to open a .ave file. The file is on a cd and is video footage but i cant seem to get anything to open it!!Any help appreciated. :mad:

Don't recognise it myself, but from this:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fileextensions/f/avefile.htm
and you saying it's supposed to be a video file, seems like it's an Avigilon video file, and apparently this software can be used to open it:
