setting up a temporary stall in Dublin City Centre

I don;t even know what forum to post this but I'll start here!

I'm have set up a guided tour business and in order to attract customers I was thinking setting up a stall in the centre of Dublin. Do I need to apply to DCC for a permit? I'm sure I cant just arrive and set up stall(literally!)
Any advice welcome.

You could stand on a street and hand out leaflets but the litter folk would probably be after you before long as people simply throw away your literature.

If you want to stand at a fixed pitch then you would probably come under 'Casual Trading'......
