    Just got one of these, absolutely clueless about making coffee before and I'm looking for what I'm doing wrong.

    I can put about two cups worth of ground coffee in, I can get about one espresso max out of it. Then it gets watery as dishwater.

    using one of these:

    I don't think it's the coffee itself, I think I'm just a tard.

    Might be the coffee.

    Is it ground for espresso or all purpose?

    I find the all-purpose is too coarse to make a decent espresso.

    Yep!! t needs to be espresso coffee. Grind it down on a fine setting.
    2 cups worth might be too much.

    For me, it's one spoonful of the measuring spoons you get with the machine and make sure to compress it down a bit so it's compact.

    One cup is all you get though but it should be a mighty nice espresso with that machine.
