The number 13 and the Roman Emperor Nero, 666 is said to be a coded version of his name, Nero was indeed a beast to many early Christians.

Not afraid of clowns, but there is something sinister about them.

I can't think of anyone who likes them, and i certainly can't think of any reason for someone to paint a weird smile and maybe teardrop on their face.

    F***in clowns.

I reckon it was the Stephen King film that gave everyone their fear of clowns.

Spiders. Money spiders I'm okay with but those big scuttly black yokes that can run really quickly make me freeze, scream and become an unstealthy assasin, throwing everything in my reach at them so they die without me having to make close contact with them.

Daddy long legs are also terrifying. They seem to sense my fear and fly at me resulting in me shrieking, flapping my arms, running away, throwing my friends into their path in a bid to save myself, resulting in great hilarity from everyone present as they aren't afraid of them.

Wasps, terrified of them altogether. The **** though have managed to sting me a few times.

I absolutely hate heights (though I wouldn't class this as irrational I mean step an inch over the line and you're dead) I also hate the dentist haven't been in ages either.

Aeroboard freaked me out when I was younger. I wasn't exactly afraid of it but I couldn't stand the feel of it or the noise it made when something was removed from a box that was lined in it.
On a similar note, I could never accept a tissue from someone if I needed one, I'd have to get it myself.
I'm not bothered by them any more though.

    Getting blood taken.

I'm diabetic, so get it done on a regular basis, which absolutely sucks. I once passed out before I even sat down in the nurse's office one day!

Or as one of the A&E nurses said to me when I was first diagnosed and woke up in there: "you'd make a terrible heroin addict!" :pac:

    Similar thing happened to me.
I don't have great veins and it's always horrendous trying to get blood from me.

One time when I had to go for bloods, I told the nurse "You might find it difficult to get my blood".

She said " Don't worry, I'll get blood from you even if I have to punch you in the nose"

Luckily, she was nifty at her job and it did not require me to go for rhinoplasty:D

Well I get blood taken every 3 months or so, I guess (and hope!) you have to use a toilet seat more often than that - therefore I win! :D

There is one nurse who works at the local surgery and she is nothing short of a wizard at her job/ninja. She knows what I'm like as she's had to revive me on more than one occasion! But she has managed to take blood out of me without me even realising it - seriously, she deserves a Premership footballer's wage for what she can do.

    True story.

I was in A&E one time and bloods needed to be taken.
Consultant came in and took over the show.
He started to try to take my bloods and I instantly knew this was NOT going to go well.

Needless to say he hit an artery and the last thing I saw before I passed out was my blood squirting all over the consultant and about 4 foot into the air.
    I woke up on a drip:mad:

    Whoa! Effin' consltants!

I was hospitalised when I was 16 for something. Had a doctor come round and try to insert a drip into my hand. After his 5th failure, I got pretty ratty and told him "I never played darts before as the ****ing dartboard!".

He left me, they called in a nurse and I was on the drip within a minute, albeit it was hooked up to my other hand!

Time for my early morning confession. I have an irrational fear of static/electric shocks......both my gf and sister have figured this out, and love nothing more than releasing some static electricity on an unsuspecting part of my body :(

Slugs and snails. I remember not being able to walk in to my house from the school bus one day because there was a slug in my path. My mother had to come and lift me over it before I'd walk in.

Still as strong nearly, was walking into college last week and there was a monstrosity of a snail in my path. I swerved around it but I was shaking and teary-eyed for a good half hour after the incident. I fúcking hate them!

I used to have an irrational fear of phones. I would freak out and avoid calling people/duck incoming calls etc.

Finally decided that it was a ridiculous thing to carry on being afraid of so I took a job in a call centre to get over it. I'm over that particular fear now thank fcuk

Baked beans. Disgusting things! The smell of them, the look of them, everything about them makes my skin crawl. I'd puke if someone came near me with them.
I can't use any cutterly that i think might have been used near beans so I have to re-wash everything before I can use it.
    Feel sick writing this. :(
