Spiders. A pox upon them !

Sharks. Snuck in to see Jaws when I was 7. 'Nuff said really !

When I was a kid, I was terrified of those yellow road sweepers vans that Dublin Corporation would send out to clean the streets. They would suck up rubbish in gutters, & spray water in them too. Was also terrified of the HUGE rubbish picker upper machine thingys, that you'd see men pushing around in shopping centers that were open to the elements. The had a big bag on them that looked like the massive swollen underbelly of a giant insect. Guess I was terrified of being sucked up into one of them. :(

I'm not scared of heights, but I'm scared sh1tless of being able to see through what I'm standing on. Not just those glass floors on boats and at the top of tourist towers and stuff, but sets of stairs where you can see between the steps or where the steps have holes in them like railway bridges.

I hate that too. I'm terrified of heights though, can't even stand on a chair :o

I might sound crazy, but sharks. I can't put my head under in a swimming pool without freaking out. Even in the shower, if I put my head under the water I start to panic!

They can't live on land, we can't live in water - nature has NO intention of us to be mixing with them.

I'm trypophobic, afraid of small clusters of holes. Crumpets are absolutely terrifying :(

Have you ever heard of trypophobia skin disease, now that is fcuking messed up

My brother knows a girl who has the most irrational fear known to man.
Folded bread. Take a slice of bread and fold it in half and this girl has a full blown panic attack.

No-one in her family(including herself) has a clue as to what led to this fear but she is practically a recluse because of it.

My own fear is dentists. Hate them.

I remember seeing the original "Piranha" when I was about 7(summer project ffs:rolleyes:) and after that I used to be terrified to sit down on the toilet in case they were in there and swam up my backside:o:D

Sorry to be mundane but I have a genuine, crippling fear of narrow confined spaces. I wont go to a cinema or sit in the back of a car where there's child locks. Sometimes I hate closing my eyes cos I know what it feels like to be blind, especially if you started off with vision. So far I'm blessed with all my faculties, that can change overnight... Just like that!

had to goggle after your post which was where I seen it, but I read it wrong the pics I seen were of skin, but was caused by bot-fly lava. These pics are often feared by those with trypophobia, so my mistake. Apologies. Stilll messed up though

    Buterflies.
    Moths.

Freak attack on sight of either. Will not sleep in a house with one in it. Or sit in a garden with either. Makes life a bit tricky but I cannot get past it.

Wasps. The sound they make, the way they fly so haphazardly ugh. Also going shopping without a specific goal in mind. I hate mooching around just on the off chance I will spot something I like. I start to get antsy and think people are looking at me :o

I absolutely hate being photographed, by anyone, EVER. (Ipovlopsychophobia)

Being recorded on CCTV never bothers me though, I suppose because it's just a fact of life, but if someone takes out a camera or looks like they're going to snap me with their phone then there's a problem.

Have you ever done the "wasp dance"?

You know, when the wasp flies at you and at first you try a casual swat at it.
But does the wasp take the hint and fly off?
    No.

Instead it flies at you again and again until you are flapping your arms around and running down the street throwing all sorts of shapes trying to get rid of the damn wasp:D

I know someone with a phobia of holes in clothes. Cant wear socks with holes in them and if someone is wearing those fingerless gloves she has to get out of the room.

I once dropped my laptop and ran away because a butterfly was in the same room as me. Its till working fine after nearly 5 years though.

Not afraid of clowns, but there is something sinister about them.

I can't think of anyone who likes them, and i certainly can't think of any reason for someone to paint a weird smile and maybe teardrop on their face.

    F***in clowns.

Heights are my biggest fear, sometimes I can't even go up stairs is so bad, of course all my friends have a great laugh about it. But one of friends absolutely detests stickers, bring one near her and she'll scream and run away, so I guess I'm not that bad.
