What's wrong with "Justus"? Perfectly normal name, that?

That said, I think some parents are either had their brains surgically removed, or they really hate their kids.

I never got over the name "Chardonnay"... why would you name the kid after what helped conceive it?

Legally you can't name a child something that sounds like a title - judges are called Justice Smith or whatever so presumably Justus is too close to that. Same with Honour whiich is also on the list, despite Honor (without the U) being a common enough name

Those crazy kiwis have some previous in mental baby names ...
A nine-year-old girl whose parents named her Talula Does the Hula From Hawaii was put into court guardianship in New Zealand so that her name could be changed.

A family court judge, Rob Murfitt, gave the order after hearing that the child was embarrassed about her name and had refused to reveal it to friends. "She told people her name was K because she feared being mocked and teased," the child's lawyer, Colleen MacLeod, told the court

A few more zingers from New Zealand ..
In his written ruling, he said names such as Stallion, Yeah Detroit, Fish and Chips, Twisty Poi, Keenan Got Lucy and Sex Fruit were prohibited by registration officials. Others that were permitted included twins called Benson and Hedges, other children called Midnight Chardonnay, Number 16 Bus Shelter and, the judge added, "tragically, Violence". Another mother tried to use text language for her child's name, he said.

You should've just done it on the sofa in there and left

My own favourite is the guy who plays for the New York Jets, D'Brickashaw Ferguson. What sort of stupid name is that?

Some friends of ours had a baby girl recently and called her Lolita.

I didn't have the heart to tell them she was going to grow up to be a stripper.

Agreed, its like a cross between nice & noise, but its neither!

Was in the park the other day with the kids and got talking to a Dad about the kids names, his daughters name which was 'Ava'
How nice I commented, easy to spell, short, and vey memorable, just like the famous hollywood actress Ava Gardner I guessed - Wrong!
he then told me that it was an Irish spelling, which went something like Ailbhabh, which kinda killed the magic of the name for me :)
