hazard if he doesnt start on thursday, stick to the original plan:)

    Yeah I should shouldn't I!!!

I'm also thinking I could go for Aguero + Maloney and then also upgrade a defender, for an 8 point hit.

Uugh this is wrecking my head. Need to log out of board and FPL until friday!!

still sticking to my plan of hazard in for fellaini, to finance this i need a cheap defender in for evra at a point hit, most likely dawson, although i could get Boyce in either.

I would be tempted by the RVP to Aguero switch only for i already have 3 city.

Will wait until after thursday but with chelsea fairly comfortable i wouldn't be surprised if both Mata and Hazard were left on the bench.

My team for the DGW will most likley be
    Hart

Dawson, Zab, Sagna (or Turner if he's fit)

Michu, Mata, Hazard, Bale (c), Walcott

    RVP, Tevez

    subs. Bunn, Mariappa, Turner, Anichebe

I think anyone considering Benteke should wait to see if Mickey Turner returns to fitness. It'd be one of the greatest battle's this era will have ever seen.

Theres no easy way to break this to you Mr Prodston but Im giving serious consideration to getting in David Luiz for the legend Mickey Turner.

 .....but, but, but? Just you wait for his hat-trick when he returns :D

If I had an available transfer he may have left my team too, but lets keep that on the down low, ok?

I never got on the Mickey Turner express myself but I do remember you flagging him for us months ago, it must have worked out quite well for you,
surprised our old pal Demel hasn't picked up his own fan club here, seemed like we all had him at one stage, he's become mr consistent of late, not a goal scoring machine like the boy Turner though I suppose;)

Ye Turner has been great particularly for home games, Clean sheets, Goals, BPs all for 4 million. The best part was lots of people would have went with bassong for a million more because he scored a goal or two in December. Mickey Turner was an old favourite of mine from his FF goalscoring days at Hull.
Demel he has turned from the most frustrating player ever to a new cult hero hes on some run of points at the moment, your right maybe its time Demel got a bit of appreciation around here.;)

Are all Man City defenders liable to rotation? Or is it just that the more regular ones were injured/sick? I want a City defender in for Baines, but can't pick who... Zabaleta surely?

Joe Hart in goal if you can manage that is the safest bet. Mancini has said Pantillamoon will start for the FA cup final

    I'm considering going from this:

    c2bcbd33e0279403d9a54e5a20791c5b.png?1367357275

    To this:

    e224104acc1f8da44080db84078fc48b.png?1367357291

It'll only be my second points hit of the season. Worth it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

I'd say no but I've been nearly just as conservative as you with only 2 points hits all year.

I think that there's a better single transfer to be made but it all depends on how risk adverse you need to be in the closing 3 weeks.

In saying that, I'm very close to making a second transfer this week myself.

I couldn't qualify selling Benteke under any circumstances (Except when Mickey T plays), maybe RVP to Aguero instead though? Lukaku from Lambert looks good though.

Yea, I was just thinking out loud really. I really hate taking hits.

I'm top of most of my leagues. The only one that I can realistically try and win with some cash incentive is one of the few that I'm behind in. I'm about 45 points back. Three weeks left. Two people ahead of me and one has Tevez. I'm a bit worried by him. The pressure is off City now. They could well rack up a huge score.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

On the flip side Tevez could only see 90 minutes this gameweek and have a reasonably quite day. I'm not sure he's the type player that is likely to explode now the pressure is off. In saying that I brought him in last week myself as a Suarez replacement.

Have you much money in the bank?

1.2 million. I haven't paid any attention to my team for over a month now. My position has remained constant but my team value has plummeted.

Can't really get Tevez in without taking a hit unless I gte rid of RVP. Decisions, decisions.

You could perilously follow in my footsteps and do Fellaini to Nasri giving you city coverage without the points hit. Risky but you're not adding to it with the added 4 point deficit.

Yaya is another (maybe safer) option?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,091 ✭✭✭brian plank

spurs and chelsea players are the way to go this week. they're the strongest teams left with something to play for. city still have the cup after west brom so its very likely a few will be rested.

    Zabaleta or Hart.
Anyone else think Ivanovich is a good option as he can score the odd goal but has tougher fixtures.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,094 ✭✭✭SpaceCowb0y

I've already taken a 4 point hit bringing in Yaya and Lukaku, what do people think of taking a further four point hit to bring in Vertonghen for Evra or Aguero for RVP (I've already got Tevez)?

Is an 8 point hit unnecessary? I'm first by only 14 points in one of my cash leagues and my mate doesn't make his changes until right before the deadline each week so i've no way of knowing if he will be taking any hits himself (the fucker)! We bot pretty much agreed whoever has the better week this week is going to win and i want that cash ha!

He's already got 10 potential double gameweek players with Williams, Davies and Michu, Hazard, Mata, Bertrand, Bale, Tevez, Lukaku, Kone

I'm currently looking at having Davies, Michu, Mata, Bale, Yaya, Tevez, Lukaku, my other players are Bunn (over de Gea) Sagna, Evra and RVP

Haha yes i know how fond you are of taking hits! In saying that i've only taken 3 all season and never more then a point hit at that, im just thinking this DGW could be my last chance to really finish this season off in my cash league but maybe i'm reading too much in to it!

currently have Ivanovich in my team and he is in and out of the squad ...so its a serious gamble to use a free transfer or take a points hit compared to other players available.

I'm thinking of going with Kone myself instead of Lulaku, he has better fixtures and will have to play despite the cup final. There is no certainty that Lukaku will start even with Fortune out(though I fully believe he will) particularly when he is unlikely to be at WBA next year, saying that I'll prob take my chances considering his form, no reason Kone couldn't pick up 15 points against Swansea and West Brom, he also has Villa at home in the last game of the season.

I'd go with Nasri ahead of YaYa and really wouldn't bother with Moore.

I have Moore (flight of madness, don't ask) dunno whether to bench him or Berbatov.

Who do people think - Walcott or Maloney? Ba or Kone? Any other obvious transfer or should I bank it for next week:

    Hart (x2)

    Martin
    Zab (x2)
    Vertongin (x2)

    Bale (x2)
    Michu (x2)
    Lennon (x2)
    Mata (x2)
    Walcott or Maloney (x2)

    Ba (x2) or Kone (x2)
    Tevez (x2)

    Bench: Bego, Cuellar, Harte

    Kone all the way.

Far more likely to get more minutes and far better fixtures.
