Can I deposit money into someone else's account online

I need to make a lodgement and would prefer to get it done today, can I do this online, I have their bank account details, or do I need to go into my local branch?

Thanks for posting.

If you are registered for 365Online and have your mobile registered to receive security codes, you could add the details and transfer the funds today. If the other account is also with Bank of Ireland the funds would go in straight away. If the account is held with another Irish bank and if you transfer the funds before the 3.30pm cut off time, the funds would be with the payee's bank tomorrow.
