Kids spilled a can of hammerite metal primer into the sink. Does anyone know what product to use to get it off. It is fully dried. Thanks.

If you know someone in the aircraft business they might be able to get you some aircraft paint remover that is save to use on aluminium.Or you can get some here http://millersoilsireland.ie/as10-aircraft-stripper/ someone else might know of a place that will do a smaller amount.

Are you sure it's an aluminium sink and not stainless steel (haven't seen an aluminium sink myself). If stainless steel any proprietary paint stripper would be safe to use BUT make sure the stopper is in the waste as the plastic waste and plumbing would be attacked by the chemicals in the stripper. Apply the stripper and scrape off the paint with a wood spatula or similar. Mop up the mess, scrub well with water before allowing the lot down the plug hole.

The problem you will have is that them primers usually have an in built etch primer. So even if you remove the paint it may have blackened the sink.
