To be fair, he was probably high when he had the idea...

He really is so incredibly dumb. With his track record the day before draft he pulls this where he announces he'll be having an afterparty to celebrate in a club.

Is HE having an afterparty? Looks a "Draft Party" for Tyrann Mathieu, is that not clearly some people who know him and thus think he is going 1st round having a party for the draft?

Jumped to a very odd assumption there.

Ravens reportedly interested in trading up for Lane Johnson:

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000162868/article/lane-johnson-reportedly-interests-baltimore-ravens
The Baltimore Ravens have kept in touch with free agent Bryant McKinnie, but they still have a gaping hole at their left tackle spot. General manager Ozzie Newsome reportedly is considering making a big splash to replace McKinnie.

Mike Preston of The Baltimore Sun reported that the Ravens are "keeping an eye" on Oklahoma offensive tackle Lane Johnson with the hope of trying to trade up for him. Preston mentions the Ravens have 12 draft picks to use as ammunition, but they don't have any extra picks in the first three rounds. The Ravens surely would have to mortgage some picks to move up high enough to grab Johnson.

As we've explained in the last few days, we'd be mildly surprised if Johnson even made it to Arizona at No. 7. He almost surely won't get past the top 10.

It's hard to imagine the Ravens going high enough to grab Johnson, but perhaps this indicates the Ravens are willing to move to fill their left tackle spot. Someone like Menelik Watson also could be an option.

UPDATE: Johnson told NFL.com senior editor Justin Hathaway on Wednesday that he hasn't spoken with the Ravens recently, but he said past interactions went well.

"I talked to them there at the Senior Bowl, and I talked to them at the combine. It went great," Johnson said.

Very hard to see it happening, but interesting nonetheless.

In other news, anyone else really excited for tomorrow now? I can't wait :)

So where is Mathieu going to go?

This is the most excited I've been for the draft, mainly because I literally have no idea who's gonna take who.

Probably be the 3rd round before someone takes a punt on him.
Can't see the value in him before that.

They'd want to be mental. They've a lot of replacing to be done.

Definitely excited about it, as Santry said it's hard to know who will go where in comparison to some years where the picks are nearly locked in. Handy too that it's on Sky Sports this year.

    Matt Miller ‏@nfldraftscout 1m
Interesting note I just received: "If Andy Reid makes the pick, it's (Eric) Fisher. If (John) Dorsey picks, it'll be (Luke) Joeckel."
Three sources I trust very much are saying the #Bills prefer Matt Barkley over Ryan Nassib.

    Ok that's quite odd.

But you know as well as I do that after the show is the afterparty, then after the party is the hotel lobby, then around about 4 you gotta clear the lobby, then take it to your room and freak somebody.

Surely NFL GM's know this is standard.

It's amazing that my week off work and the draft were the same week.*cough*

But the NFL.com mock draft with mayock and eisen and the rest and Luke joeckel dropped to the eagles( that won't happen) but I'd be happy as a sandboy if the planets lined up.

And the guru has posted his mock draft.

Justin Pugh at 19 is a bit of a head scratcher. If the top 5 linemen are gone we will go d-line or CB I reckon

That's an estimation probably based on talking to someone in the Giants organisation about the OLine.

I've seen Pugh go late second/early third on most other Mocks.

All the mock nerds don't see Giants addressing the need at LB in the first. Knowing Reese it could be anyone but I very much doubt it'll be Pugh.

Does the draft start at 12 or 1?

I'll be in work for some of it so I'll essentially be getting paid to watch the draft!

And thanks to PaullyD I'll be watching it on the NFL network too.

I wish dude but after I raised some issues last week there was a meeting with directors last week and the meeting is just for me and taking on more responsability( read as getting more money) so can't really skip it

    Double Post.

Looking at Jason la Cafora's mock draft he has the jags trading up for the packers first round pick to nab barkley if he's still there saying we could pick up an immediate starter at running back at the top of round 2. I personally wouldn't like to see it as I wouldn't have a rb as our top need, but say if it were to happen what realistically would the packers get out of it in return for the pick?? I'd want their 1st next year and maybe a 2nd this year with one in the later rounds....or is hat just dreaming?
