Hello people.

I'm well used to building my own Gaming Rigs but a mate of mine has asked me to build one for him.

He is on a very ridged budget of €700. Usually Id have no problem spec'ing up a build like this but tbh I really want to get the best value I possibly can for the guy.

He will be using it only for gaming, nothing else.

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming]

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [No]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [He already has a keyboard/mouse and I'm donating a spare SSD of mine to the build]

5. Do you need a monitor? [Yes]

5a. If yes, what size do you need. [22" is reasonable, but very open to suggestion]

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Wireless card]

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [Yes, very much so]

8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser/PayPal/Any Means]

9. When are you purchasing? [ASAP]

That's everything I think. When I get the chance I'll post my own attempt. But snowed under in work at the moment.

This will get him up and running for now. If he want's to overclock he's going to have to get a better cpu cooler, some additional case fans and ideally some heat sinks for the boards VRM's. These can all be got down the line.

Whats the processor like for overclocking?

No bother.

Really good but like I said it will need a good cpu cooler, a few case fans and heatsinks for the mainboards vrm's to get a good overclock.

You could throw iin 2-3 of these in now to improve case airflow and you could still overclock the graphics card fairly well. A small overclock on the processor would be possible too.
