Cheers for that but free for this event would be even better ;-)

Not too bad and there's no booking fee so that's a plus. I haven't been in a couple of years. Only thing off putting is the times. Friday afternoon or Sunday night.

great event if someone else is paying.....it really does add up paying and queuing for each plate.

Take the €120 two will spend there and head to Guilbauds for their 3 course lunch imho.

That is exactly why I wouldn't go unless I got a ticket for free! I do appreciate the OP posting the offer though.....

What? Have I got this right, they want me to pay into a food festival and then pay for the food in that festival?

    Okkkkaaaayyyy

Wexford had a local food festival on the quays last Saturday and it was FREE plus plenty of free samples, I personally would never pay into a food festival

Discount on a rip off ......

I wonder what percentage of people pay full price.

I'd say a shed load of them are given away free to local businesses.

Aye, it's classic Ireland. Tons of these go on in the UK, where...

    a) I didn't need to change euros to 'florins' - a pathetic time waste considering the dishes cost the same in florins as they do in euros
    b) The food was free for samples, or at most 2.50 for a plate
    c) The drink was first drink free, rest 1.90 sterling (per pint/glass)
    d) I didn't pay in.

People who go to this are so gullible.

I paid €20 (whatever the full-price was) last year, and you make a good argument above. I seriously doubt i'll go this year

waste of money to pay into that, almost as good as the pay to go to the holiday agency exhibition in the rds.

Taste of Dublin, in my experience, is monumentally bad value and underwhelming on a scale that only the Irish can manage to accomplish.
