Driving license renewal

I want to renew my license to get a new one because mine is gone very tatty, it has sustained a lot of ware and tare from being in my wallet. Is this grounds to get a renewal? Do I have to get a separate learner permit for doing the BE test? or is having a full B license enough to sit the test. Cheers.

You need the BE learner permit to sit the BE driving test.
