Its a whole lot better than my current minimum of 1.5 hrs believe me. If we could afford closer we would probably go with that. :)

Wow! Defo sounds better. My head is wrecked looking up houses, so stressful and hard to decide what to go with

Hi, I moved to Rathnew in the last few years. I commute to Dublin Mon-Fri. I start work at 10 in the City Centre and leave my house at 8.40 which gets me in at approx 9.50-10.00. I leave Dublin at 4.30 and get home at 5.40. The Bray M11 merge is the worst part but you can avoid this if you go up by Carrickmines/Kilternan.

We are in a similar position to the original poster except we currently rent and are looking to buy. Hopefully we are looking at my wife giving up work and minding our children while I continue to commute to work to Cherrywood/Carrickmines area. Would anyone have any feedback on Aughrim and specifically Aughrim Hall. As we have kids we would like to be close to a village with other houses around but still semi rural in terms of surrounding area.

    Any other 'pointers' greaty appreciated.

    Thanks

I don't know Aughrim but have you looked at Wicklow Town? There's a New estate under construction at the minute, first phase is ready in 6 months so they say.

We know Wicklow well, both spent most of our summers close to the town but neither of us feel it is the right fit for what we want. Thanks for the reply though.
