Cycling routes in Malaga/Fuengirola/Mijas area?

    Hey lads, have a friend living in Mijas (35k from Malaga) and planning on visiting him in the near future, would like to rent a bike and do a few spins while over there. Anyone know of any nice cycles over there?

    I know cycling back to Mijas from the coast is going to be killer (400m elevation and several kms of climbing) but what else would be nice and relaxing to make that climb back worth it?

    If you're feeling really fit do it clockwise.

    You might like to try a steady climb in the Montes de Malaga:
    http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2360393 on the road to Colmemar. Very popular with locals on a quick up and back or as the start of a round trip Malaga - Colmenar - Torre del Mar and back along the coast road. If you cycle down to either Fuengirola or Benalmadena you can take your bike on the train into Malaga Centro station.

    Hey All,

    I got roped into a week long holiday in Benalmadena comming up in few weeks and was hoping to get some good training in while I was there does anyone know of any good cycle tours that are operating there whoI icould join up with and get some quailty miles in any info would be great I'm also looking to rent a bike for the week as well.
