Want to buy a half width roof box but halfords even with the 'half price' sale on is still expensive?

    Any other options?

Not sure what car accessories shops are close to Doolin, you'll probably have to go up to Galway motor factors.
Those sites mentioned probably have a few used ones for cheap.

They did when I used them! You can also get very good details on stuff that's been returned - look under 'bargains/offers'.

Id say if you have a word with any decent motor factor they might be able to get you one in

You could try Argos as well. Not the usual place for car stuff but worth a goo.

if you just need one for occasional holidays then renting is a good option. That's what I do. They install and then after your holiday you are not stuck with a roof box to find somewhere to store.

If you don't mind second hand, there are a few on donedeal. There is a Thule one in there, which are usually pretty decent.

www.team.ie will deliver anywhere in Ireland and you either get free roof bars or €50 off if they don't have the bars or you have your own. They will usually ring you and take the details, they usually know what box is best fit for most cars.
