406 coupe lights not very good

I've noticed that my coupe lights dont give me great vision of the road ahead, especially on a very poorly lit back road near my house which I travel a lot. It also seems to be the area the light covers being quite small. It will be less of an issue as summer comes in but is this normal for the car? Compared to other cars are they poor lights? Also, if mine are just dim I'll change the bulbs, what do others recommend?

Are they aligned right? You could try upgrading to one of the superbright bulbs, like the Osram Nightbreakers.

Change the bulbs and have the outer lenses given a polish over with a DA.

    Should see improvement.

The definition of piss poor lights is a pre facelift 166. Projectors aswell, I don't know what went wrong there but they have the same lighting power as sidelights. They are quite dangerous at night

I personally think it's the reflectors behind burned out and not the lens itself as I have identical sized projectors on my van and it was worlds apart from the 166.

My advice is unless the lens itself is in a bad way, open up the lens and see the condition of the unit
