I got some of the color club holos from beautyzone2007 on ebay..I think they only cost me about €5 including shipping each. They are gorgeous!

A serious holo polish is top of my list the moment, gonna spend a bit more than I normally would - really want a good one, that Koh looks amazing!

It is an awesome polish I love the brand but as far as I know they can only be bought in Holland.

Just found alot of nail polishes I'd forgotten about! Never a tougher decision than which one to try first :P
So I went with Rimmel Grey Matter and Rimmel Green With Envy :)

I have just purchased this base coat:

hopefully it is a decent one

First time poster in this thread!
Picked this up today and I love it. Gonna buy more in different colours.
The picture doesn't really do it justice; it's much more sparklier than you can see in the image and it contains bigger sparkles than your usual sparkly varnish-it really catches the light and dazzles!

I have this base coat and think it's really good. It dries sort matte which seems to give the polish something to 'grab' on to. Love it.

I adore this basecoat! It was my favourite for months. The only problem I found with it is the little white bits that appear when you are close to finishing the bottle. Other than that it's pretty great :)

Not my favourite but still a nice polish. Barry M Papaya

Fussyonion I bought the Razzle Dazzler version of that polish during the week. I liked it when I put it on but it literally popped off my nails the next day! It didn't chip, the full varnish popped off like a false nail. Read some reviews online and others have found the same. Disappointing after spending €8.95 on it!

Yes I have found the same thing!

I applied two coats of the polish yesterday (was really careful; applied base coat, let it dry, applied thin layer of first coat, let it dry, applied second coat, let it dry, applied top coat, let it dry.) and big chunks of it have fallen off.

    Will have to reapply tomorrow.
    Disappointing because it's gorgeous.

I was the same except went for three coats. Applied base and top coat. It's very bizarre how the full varnish comes off?

I don't know, I didn't keep the receipt... It has really put me off Sally Hansen polishes!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,089 ✭✭✭✭LizT

I find Sally Hansen polishes very expensive for what they are. Definitely not as good as the other brands in that price range.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,827 ✭✭✭fussyonion

I love Rimmel nail varnishes-great colours, dry in 60 seconds and last a few days. Plus they're around €5.95 each, so not too dear.

    Are Barry M varnishes expensive?
I've never bought any, although I have bought DazzleDust eyeshadow which was a bargain at €3.50.

This was actually my first Sally Hansen nail polish (the sparkly Cha-ching one) and if they all chip as much as that one, I won't be buying any more!

Yeah the quality is fairly crap for the price! Especially when you compare to brands like Catrice. Have Shellac back on now so won't be experimenting again for a while.

That basecoat is actually a really good one. Protects your nails nice and helps hold the colour on :) I'll post a pic of it later on my nails and then with a topcoat on top when I put new polish on :)

There is a Bulgarian site I think that sells them. I would happily help you out, I send polishes to the US all the time, Essence/Catrice etc.

I don't know if they can be bought online, but if they can't I'll help out too. I've posted polishes abroad before and will happily do so again :)

I have a new favourite top coat, it's L'oreal's colour riche confetti top coat.

I was too lazy to take a pic but I'm wearing it over a similar colour to the mint green in this pic.

I bought that during the week and wore it over Essences you belong to me with birdy decals on the feature nails. Its a really nice topcoat.
