The area surrounding Dublin airport was once listed as a litter blackspot but is now moderately clean due to fingal council changing their cleaning schedules and working more closely with the locals.

Perhaps the DCC can do the same.

any chance we could blame the isreali's on this?

This is specifically related to Dublin. You don't post an astronomy question in After Hours just because we can all see the stars at night.

    So your point is bollocks.

Fill out a mod application form here and you can deal with it.

We need Diarmuid Gavin to help us all here.

He will get stuck in and clean it all up.

He wont stand back and let everyone else do the hard work though, while he looks all nice and pretty for the camera.:pac::rolleyes:

And 2 to argue over whether Tayto, King, Keoghs or Walkers are better.

I always laugh when my work colleague from Clondalkin makes derogatory statements about the Northside.

(You can probably tell that he's a bit dim.)

Clondalkin is south of the liffey.

Why would they do that? Walkers are clearly superior.

Bit of a dodgy area alright, but at least the locals keep the place clean without relying on the state to clean it up for them - http://www.labour.ie/breedabonner/blogarchive/2012/05/14/the-big-clondalkin-clean-up/

Smiths Bacon Fries and / or Smiths Scampi Fries are far superior to anything from Walkers.

Damn - just checked the back of the packet, Smiths are owned by Walkers.

Wow, so I reduced chance of picking up an infection while lying on the ground after being shot or stabbed. Good to hear.

Show us some of that legendary northsider community spirit you love telling the world about - band together and clean up your area.

Who said I was a northsider? And if I was the area wouldn't have a litter problem.

What does Wayne Molloy know about Dublin? Living in some fictional Dublin suburb.

You'd be better off going after Flynn to get your mothers money back, after Eddie made a fool of you and cleared out her account.

    :)

Wayne Molloy lives in a disused carpark (referred to as the Lot) out the back of the RTE studio in Donnybrook, D4. Only a pretend Northsider.

Makes for interesting reading (or bitching) about whos at fault for the littering and dumping in North Dublin City.

    http://www.thestar.ie/star/kilkenny-named-irelands-cleanest-place/

In Dublin, landlords were blamed for the neglect of the north inner city after it was branded the dirtiest place in the country.

IBAL said the area had one of the worst results recorded in a decade.

Dr Cavanagh said derelict buildings with absent landlords meant there was no one accountable for surrounding litter and dumping, while State-owned property owners were failing to keep areas outside and within their premises litter-free.

State toxic loans agency NAMA and Irish Rail were among the offenders, Dr Cavanagh said.

Local councillor and leader of the Fianna Fail group on Dublin City Council Mary Fitzpatrick said illegal dumping, caused by the authority’s withdrawal of domestic waste collection, was out of control.

“Not only are street bins overflowing, many have had to be removed and dumping is occurring on streets, laneways, along the train tracks and the canal,” Ms Fitzpatrick said.

    All the single mothers etc?

    All the single mothers etc?

That's Social Housing run by LAs. I'm talking about NAMA running private housing - renting out apartments formerly 'owned' by bailed-out developers.

Why is the State badly running the complexes to the point that DCC shut down basic services to them.

Should northsiders not be ashamed by the rampant littering problem that is prevalent in their area?

Its not southsiders or the DCC illegally dumping the rubbish. Its northsiders.

I hear they kill people too. Oh and they do drugs. Let's eradicate them, then our streets will be clean and safe.
