What.the.actual?????

DCC have decided to make the innocent suffer because of the action of illegal dumpers in 'blackspot' areas of Dublin.

Suspending rubbish and other services until apparantly people cop on.

Charlie Lowe also made this vaguely xenophobic statement. I have no idea if he is trying to blame immigrants for the problem but it looks that way.

The problem was widespread, but was at its worst in the north inner city which had a large proportion of multiple occupancy flats that are owned by private landlords, the manager of the central area of the city, Charlie Lowe, said.
“It’s not just people whose cultural background and whose ability to comprehend the regulations is less than what Irish people would have; that’s a factor we have always tried to take into consideration. Some of this behaviour is wilful, in my view, and some of this behaviour is as a result of not knowing any better and just thinking it’s acceptable behaviour.”

DCC have requested more funding due to their plans to recruit "educational spankers".

They are employing people to swan around the place undercover and issue out bare assed spankings for minor anti social behaviour.

Accidentally dropping litter - that's a spanking.
Putting paper into the black bin - that's a spanking.
Press the button at the pedestrian lights but run across anyway, leaving upcoming cars to stop while no one crosses - that's a spanking.
Wearing a hoodie - that's a spanking.

And they can also find 60 million euro to move a library from 1 side of the road to the other side of the road into a new development/building.

DCC are the first to try this; I bet other councils are watching closely.

I also doubt that it is immigrants causing the problem as Charlie Lowe seems to suggest.

Should northsiders not be ashamed by the rampant littering problem that is prevalent in their area?

If northsiders stopped littering, dumping their rubbish illegally and turning a blind eye to those that do - their areas would not resemble a rubbish tip.

Blaming the council on your areas litter problem is a bit rich when its the native who are causing the problem in the first place.
