She doesn't take the piss out of them, thats the main selling point  Can you not grasp the business strategy?

This is defo one for the dragons den, not only is it more profitable than all the idiots that have been on so far, it would also make good television.

"Can you give us some figures Maeve", well after outlay etc, i have a net profit per week of €350.00, (before tax ssssssshhhhhhhhh ;)) and I have done some PR work and taken out a front page ad in a Dublin paper and also an ad in the Mirror. I am looking for €10k for a 5% piece of the pie, I will use the money to buy more knickers and I am also thinking of buying a sauna to speed up the process, to give you a sniff, I brought some samples with me just to give you an idea of the finished product"

To the writer of said "article". Know that your work is of poor quality and disgraces a once useful trade.
Lighten up, it wasn't intended to be a Pulitzer piece. I'm sure it gave many people a chuckle on a damp Thursday morning on the way into work or college. Headline of the year so far, for me.

I wonder are they crusty by the time they arrive, or does she pack them to keep the moisture locked in?

Where did original story come from that there was a thread on boards about it?

Is this like thread inception or something? A story about a thread about a story about knickers.

There's a fair amount of sanctimony on this thread.

The metro is free and fun. It's not trying to be anything else. And when you publish here you are as public ad a blog, or an article. We can link to the metro, they can take a story from boards. The only restriction is direct plagiarism.

Sure in Japan they have used knickers in vending machines in case you need a quick hit.

    Hi,

I'm the original poster and thought I'd respond for one last time, defend myself to a point, get it out of the way and then just leave it be.

My post to boards.ie was genuine and I am baffled, mortified and find it bizarre it has received such attention, online, on radio and in print. I agree with one of the posters who said it doesn't deserve that kind of attention when Savita's case or others who are more worthy. This is/was not a news item.

The Sun, Metro Herald, Irish Daily Star, Ray D'arcy show and Turbidy showed interest = all pm'ed me on boards.ie looking to talk and saying they were going to print my story - I relented and agreed to speak to a journalist from The Star, other paper offered me money but I didn't trust it and declined their offer - The Star did not offer anything and said they would keep it anonymous. I did not contact them they contacted me. I was not paid either just to make that clear, thought it would seem bad and I suppose I went against my better judgement speaking to them but said they were going to print it anyway.

The Star Journalist confirmed my story was genuine, I showed him copies of the emails buyers sent me, my last social welfare letter and the profile (since been deleted). I was naive to post and I honestly did not think it would go this far:( , it was a genuine concern and problem and I just wanted to know where I would stand, if i'd be done for fraud or simply what i could do to resolve my situation. I did not think it through, was a spur of the moment decision to sell and it wasn't my intention to break any law but I did so I hold my hands up. A stupid one. Since posting my welfare will begin again next week, I have an interview and they will discuss with me if I owe them anything and how much I'll have to pay back each week. Nothing less can be expected - I broke the law and there is consequences.

Thanks to those who gave me good advise, it was very much appreciated and about my car, I didn't realise I could sell a car bought on HP i've already posted an advert to sell it and hopefully i'll get enough to pay off my debt and if or whatever amount I might owe the social welfare now.

To other girls who pm'd me..

I sold 1-2 pairs per week at a price of between 25-40 euro, you can earn more if you are willing to be more explicit and sell nude pictures - I was not willing to do that (they'd pay me to keep my clothes on) or if you sell videos, girls who posted videos for sale and picture sold more or if you go for the strange requests like selling period stained panties, pee or defecation which was all outside my comfort zone and remit no matter what they were offering I just found it gross, even just normal 1 day wear why they would want them is just weird. You won't get any Irish customers, I just had 1 from Cork they are mostly from England, USA, Canada, Serbia, France and Australia. So suppose my point is, for people who think it is lucrative it is not - unless you want to humiliate yourself by doing above acts. It's not something I enjoyed doing anyway.

For the pm's/people who called me lazy. Until made unemployed last year I had worked since the age of 15 non-stop, no one likes being unemployed. When you go into the post office and see the same woman sitting behind the counter, part of your self esteem and self worth just ebbs away with each week that passes, i've applied for jobs in aldi, dunnes, lidl mcdonalds, cleaning, factory, office work etc and been on so many interviews but just no luck. I've also done job skills courses/interview skills with local employment service and going to start a course in a few weeks so I am pro active.

Thanks to the mod for deleting original post, and to those who gave me sound advise was very much appreciated. I was quite naive but lesson learnt. Don't post a problem on boards.ie or sell your used underwear.

That is all from me, will close account.

Fair play to you Maeve, you do come across as a decent person who got caught up in a bad situation. I hope you find a proper job soon. Some day you will hopefully laugh at all this.

If Maeves daddy worked for KPMG this thread wouldn't exist.

Surprised a thread like this was even allowed considering the subject of it was a boards.ie poster and the thread was from a different forum....
