    Are wedding rings inherently hygenic?!?

ER's Facebook page comment was somthing like all hands on deck and hope to rebuild as soon as possible. Somebody asked if it would reopen.

You're not supposed to wear jewelry when working with food but an exception (in my experience) is often given for wedding rings.

For example, those pandora charms have lovely little bits, bobs and pieces hanging from them. The buildup of x,y and z material gets caught in there and gets loose when carrying plates. I wouldn't be happy with someone having several bracelet charms while handling plates. Maybe I'm over cautious but its possible.

I only heard it was an electrical type fault too, not much information here:

Sounds like a rampage when its all in one paragraph like that.

It has been a pretty bad few weeks in waterford, even worse than usual. Tesco Ballybeg was broken into the weekend before last, and again 2 weeks before that. Drink stolen both times. Quite a lot of crime confined to a small enough area to be coincidence

I heard it was the fuse board as well, not sure if it was just old, or something was changed recently with it, it's all specualtion until an official statement is made.

If it is, the gardaí may have found out something such as someone tampering with it or so... as I said it's all speculation until an offical word is said about it.

Thank god they are coming back though, I'd say the whole building has to be knocked now because of fire damage to the bricks. The place will be unreal when they do rebuild though!

Wonder if they are planning on moving somewhere else in Waterford? Perhaps into town? or stay where they are?

Don't want to open a can of worms but when the community there are trying to stop the typical stero type on the estate about the areas and Tesco gets broken into twice in weeks. Dosn't do much good in my book. Don;t want a load of post abusing me but its what people think.

The fire at Eddie Rockets IMO is very unlikely to be arson and if it was the fuse boards and if work was done recently it may be why people reported people were arrested in relation to it.

I wouldn't have pointed the blame at an estate for the Tesco issue, if I was blaming Waterford folk. There has been a few 'professional' hits that wouldn't be from Waterford.

Mabye so bue when you said Tesco in Ballybeg was broken into. 90% of people would assume it was people from Ballybeg, I am not one to stero type ares but you can see why things like this don't help people's perception of an area.

Tesco Ballybeg has been broken into plenty of times, The shop was only new when the fire escape doors were smashed, (the glass) and it was repaired only for it to be broken again 2 nights later, They had to change the doors to full metal sheeting after that.

If your from an area or living in an area i think you should be active, if you see probelms call the guards if there are constant problems get in touch with your local councillor thats what they are for and you are the people who pay them and thats how we make things better, my local councillor is sick of me calling him but at the end of the day im his boss, we elect them and our tax's pay thier wages, With the roads and anit social behaviour theres always something to get onto them about!

Very nice, however the shop keeper isnt using his money from his pocket to repair the window, The insurance company is.

You may say that premiums will raise but this problem is out of the shopkeepers control, and they are a multinational anyway!

It doesn't make a difference if we are talking about a multinational or not, the fallacy this applies.

At the end of the day someone somewhere has to pay for it.

Granted, the fire (AFAIK) was an accident, but destruction doesn't lead to prosperity.

It clearly does, the insurance company prospered by them paying their insurance premiums to them, the insurance company are in business because Eddie Rockets pay their premiums and they hire staff to cope with the demand, The "Accident" happend and now many many other people with profit from this as there will be work created for many people who are or nearly are out of business, like tradesmen etc etc, Electricians Painters Tilers glazers funrniture companies food companies wholesale suppliers the list is endless, it might not be a windfall but it just keeps things ticking over, If it was a case of them not having insurance and having to pay for all of this out of their own pocket then i think your theory would apply!

This situation benefits more people than it affects, the staff are being kept on and probably on paid leave aswell.

It will generate money in Waterford something thats needed especially now with B+Q going at the end of the month and now 36 people in a brewery!

So, it's a win, win situation then if a business gets razed to the ground due to fire then ?

If English is truly your third language, I have to commend you in conquering the art of talking complete shyte.

Just compile us a list of businesses that will benefit from a decent fire and maybe we'll all chip in and torch a couple each and everyones a winner .

p.s. Are you on a mission to get to a thousand posts before the end of the month or something ?

I'd say Eddie Rockets wont be using anybody local to do this project. A lot of these stores / restaurants have a firm that knows the plans inside out for their stores and just comes along, fits it out and leaves. Not open to local tender basically.

I did shopfitting for years in the UK and you're right. The same company gets the tender for all or maybe certain parts of the country to do. The same crew travels around and fits them out because they manufacturer 'x' amount of furniture/fittings in house.
The only local labour they use is maybe a labourer or two depending on the size of the refit.
So, the moral of the story is, unless you want a gang of shopfitters from Dublin or Belfast chatting up your women in the pubs at night, don't set fire to a chain store.

Im sorry but i think you have a bit of a bee in your bonnet my friend, just cos i didnt agree with you on your TESCO PETROL thread and said you were talking shyte! your now following me around boards having a pop at me at every opportunity, if you dont like what i say then feck off then.

THIS WAS MY ATTEMPT TO LOOK FOR A SILVER LINNING you fool!
There will be work created by this, stop looking for the negative and try see the positive side of things there will be work created and stop throwing all your philosophy bull at me in an attempt to have a pop.

If its a franchise and it probably is they will tender the work and the best quotes will work, Im simply pointing to the silver linning here ye miserable gits!

The jobs were saved and they are going to reopen and there will be work for tradesmen in between and waterford gets a nice clean new fast food joint.
