This was taken from the Project X Waterford page on Facebook, doesn't look like much is left. Hopefully nobody got hurt tonight.

Personally I always liked it in there. Overpriced for sure but the offers you'd get from Waterford Today would make it reasonable.

In any event that is a handful of people now out of work at the very least. Hopefully nobody was hurt

A building like that won't take too long to rebuild. Hopefully a short holiday with pay for the staff.

Not a fan of emptypockets but still feel very sorry for the people working in the place,

Based on the pictures the entire place has been cutted so if they'll even put the money into it to rebuild could very much be in doubt. :(

The loss of the outlet will of course have affects on the other store that are close by as well

    Insurance?

The place was a gold mine. I guarantee ya it'll be open again before the summer.

Their hygiene standards had a lot to be answered for to be honest.

Every time I've been there my drinks were served from a bottle instead of the fountain (and yes, there is a HUGE difference). While still getting charged the fountain price.

I've also seen them refill half empty ketchup bottles with new ketchup on top. I'm sorry but that was enough to stop me using the ketchup bottles.

Also, waitress' + chef's hair should be tied up, wearing no nail polish or wearing no wrist / hand jewelery (with the exception of wedding ring of course).

Was a nice one, I'd always eat there when visiting.

    Questionable hygiene post deleted. ;)

I suspect that linkage is far too close to hearsay to stand up in a court if boards should get sued.

I'm distraught over this, my OH and I had a bet going that I won and my prize was going to be an Eddie Rocketts dinner without the Waterford Today voucher, was really looking forward to that double burger and milkshake :(

Great pic , if it was all a joke , which it obviously is not .

Hope the suspects are caught sooner rather than later

Might not be any suspects. Could be an electrical fault in a building with gallons of flamable oil's in storage. Could be a grill or a frier left on by an absent minded employee. It's a shame either way, I eat there a few times, twas tasty.

Taking all these pics from the Waterford City Fire Service facebook page.

Had to laugh at the first comment left by someone on this.
    "Nice save lads"

Is there any speculation about it being accidental or otherwise?
