Hi wondering if anyone can suggest a venue for a wedding reception summer 2014.

We can have the civil ceremony at the venue or can have it in the registry office.

We would ideally like a grass area for some tables and easy access to indoor area with a bar etc. This venue can be within the Co.Dublin area.

Trying to keep cost down as having something similar in Brazil.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Snap! I'll give this a bump as I'm in the exact same boat and interested to see what people will say.

My fiance is also from Brazil (Sao Paulo), and hoping to do a civil ceremony here, with a buffet style to keep the costs down, and also something in brazil maybe next winter (their summer).

That's great hopefully here something back.

I was suggested a place in Stillorgan call Beaufield Mews. Looked it up and they have everything there garden for ceremony and buffet/BBQ but I emailed heard nothing and then rang and they took my details and Sarah was suppose to call me to arrange a meeting but still haven't heard anything but will defo try ringing again as it really looks great but may be expensive!

Let me know if you find any other places.

    Cheers

I contacted beaufield mews for quotes last year (for sit down meal) and they replied back in 6 mins!! To be honest they weren't any cheaper then 4 star hotels! But it is meant to be fab! Have you checked out rosedale house my neighbour was at a wedding there 2 years ago and they had a barbecue and a spit roast, the pictures looked amazing.

We are having ours at the Kippure Estate in Blessington. Slightly further than Co. Dublin but not by much.
BBQ style food, outdoors on a grassy area. All very picturesque and relaxed.
If you google kippure estate the website has all the info. For us it worked out cheaper than all the hotels (we didnt want that kinda thing anyway) but I guess it depends on what you class as low budget.

Went to Beaufield Mews last night to meet with Sarah she is really lovely and gave us lots of options of how to reduce cost etc. There was lots of options, sit down, BBQ, picnic baskets and multiple finger food courses.
There is half day 1-6pm or 6-12.30pm slots or all day. During the week is the cheapest, Friday half day €3000 or full €3500 or Saturday €4k half and €4.5k full, this is a minimum spend but per person sit down was a little bit more than on average BBQ/alternative €50 per person. Lovely place and layout is perfect with south facing garden for ceremony and relaxing but all you need is the reliable Irish weather! But if all goes bad they have a big canopy and there is an indoor section also.
