    Hi,

I am looking at buying a second hand car from a UK car supermarket but did a HPI check and it came back that the car supermarket owes finance on it. I asked them and they explained that they take out finance to buy stock usually for a few months. This seems to agree with the HPI check which states it was taken out on 19/3 for 5 months from Blackhorse Ltd.

Any suggestions what I should do?

If youu want to buy the car, get it in writing from the finance company how much is owed to them , then pay the finance company that amount and the dealer the rest of whats owed, its the only way to ensure it will be paid. Sounds dodgy though , Id probably look around for a similar car elsewhere
