SO I'm going to reformat my old PCs hard drive once my new one is ready to rock so that I can give it to my girlfriend.
I have lost my Windows XP CD.
Is there anyway to reformat it without having to buy a new windows disc?
Or (probably a stupid question) can 1 new Windows 7 disc be used on 2 computers?

The disk doesnt matter, its the licence key. Any disk of the same "type" will work.

If you have the key borrow a disk from a friend, BUT, if its a prebuilt machine you need the manufacturers disk specifically for that PC.
