5* Hotels in Ireland

Going to give this a bump folks as the last post was 2 years ago :) Planning on a weekend away in the coming months. Has anyone had any unbelievably great experiences of 5 star hotels recently. And any that did not live up to your expectations. Thanks.

Lough Eske in Donegal is apparently one of the best in the world!

Never been, would love to go.

Where'd you hear best in the world?
It's a nice 5 star castle in Ireland standards. Scenery around it in Donegal is breathtaking though, so that's a massive plus.
I think Ashford Castle in Mayo may be better.
Miles better 5star outside of Ireland.

I'd also recommend Hayfield. Found the whole experience superb.
Is it Sheen Falls or Parkhouse in Kenmare that's supposed to be amazing too?
