I am currently in the market for a second hand car and went to view a black car i was interested in. However, when when i did a motorcheck online the registered colour was blue. Is there any chance that this is just an honest mistake when registering the car details? Or should i suspect something else?

    Yup.

They're never 100%, colours can be entered wrong. However it does need to be checked out in the flesh regardless.

    What car was it?

The colour comes directly from the National Vehicle File. If you'd like to PM me the reg I'll take a look at the database and see if there's anything to worry about.

Thanks motorcheck, that would be great. I spoke to the owner and he said it is a very dark blue but if you could have a look i would appreciate it. PM sent.

The car is an Audi A3
